Smart thermostats, smart meters and the smart grid will provide the utility with information and the ability to monitor energy consumption throughout the country. These devices will enable them to regulate your use of electricity and turn it on and off at their discretion. According to SmartGrid.gov, “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) provided the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with about $4.5 billion to modernize the electric power grid and to implement Title XIII of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA), which focused on the Smart Grid.” This site shows the government’s progress in implementing smart grid technology through the country. The money put into this is staggering! The Solyndra scandal is only the tip of the iceberg of this Administration’s green radicalism.
Implementing “responsible climate change policy” will come at a tremendous cost to the energy consumer and benefit those involved in producing and installing these devices as well as those involved in the carbon emissions permit exchange market.

I for one am VERY against this for HEALTH reasons if nothing else. Few people realize that this technology might be great for the utility companies control over us (if they are into being controlled and into being a slave), but do they REALIZE that additional electromagnetic fields will be created that could make us physically ill ? What a GREAT idea. This is NO EXAGGERATION! Lets all pay MORE money to the utilities so they can control us and make us sick. Actually, if it makes enough of us sick enough to kill us, there will be fewer and fewer of us left to pay the bills which isn't very smart thinking on their part.

Look at this:

".....................The problem: smart metering will turn every single appliance into the equivalent of a transmitting cell phone, and this at a time when public concern about the safety of exposure to the radiofrequency radiation (RF) of wireless technologies is on the rise. Heads up: that’s every dishwasher, microwave oven, stove, washing machine, clothes dryer, air conditioner, furnace, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, TV, computer, printer, and fax machine...................."

"..............Meanwhile, people who don’t want to use such appliances won’t be able to deactivate the wireless component without disabling it and voiding warranties. Citing “electricity theft,” it could also be illegal to do so................"

"................Yet, not one safety concern regarding the cumulative effects of 24/7 exposure to RF radiation seems to have occurred to the backers of Smart Grids. And this is despite the fact that all appliances will transmit wireless data with peak power bursts far above current safety standards – at frequencies between 917 MHz and 3.65 GHz in the ultra-high frequency/microwave ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum, several times a minute.

And that’s just the indoor part. All transmitters inside your home or office will communicate with a Smart Meter attached to the outside of each building. [1] That meter, in turn, will transmit at an even higher frequency to a central hub installed in local neighborhoods. In what are called “mesh networks,” signals can also be bounced from house-meter to house-meter before reaching the final hub. So exposures will not just be from your own meter, but accumulating from possibly 100-to-500 of your neighbors’ as well..............."

"...............Studies show that myriad wildlife abandons terrain when cell towers are installed. Cows have increased cancers, lower milk production, agitation [see Electromagnetic Fields], immune system disorders, more mastitis, miscarriages, and birth defects in offspring near cell towers. Birds with nests near antennas display lower reproductive rates, and chicks are born with birth defects. In simulations of whole colony collapse disorder, bees have disappeared entirely when transmitting cell phones were placed next to their hives. It is thought that RF interferes with their navigational abilities by coupling with a natural magnetic material called magnetite in bee abdomens.

Meanwhile, hundreds of studies done with laboratory animals found numerous cancers, immune disorders, and increased mortality from chronic, low-level exposures..............."

Yay! Good for you! Yes! GO RON PAUL.

I think the straw polls are the only thing half way worth watching. The others don't even tell you how 1/3 of the people polled would vote.

Why does anyone get to choose who does or doesn't fail using the peoples money? Why do other businesses have to raise or fall on their merits? They fail and don't get bailed out. The free market doesn't pick and choose who to bail out with the peoples money.

Here's the point you're missing, again, when you make government bigger you have to pay for it somehow. The answer is not to print up the money and devalue the dollar. The dollar is worth less than before.
We got out of a depression before in 2 years time by cutting taxes AND government spending by 40 percent. Unemployment went to 12 to under 4 percent.

Why would someone not vote for the only person in Congress who told us from the minute the housing bill passed we would suffer econonomically as well as told us years before 9/11 happened that it would happen and gave the reasons why?

Quite trying to be right, you aren't very good at it

What "the only person" means is no one else did it. Understand now?

My mistake your candidate probably agreed with Ron Paul but didn't say or vote that way because Ron Paul spoke and voted for him, right?

Bailouts/recovery package work? Home from Afghanistan come true? No one else has been dead on about the state of our economy and our foreign policy as Ron Paul has. You're grasping at straws.

Your candidate hasn't come up with any and you're embarrassed so you deflect and don't answer. Understood.

The only candidate who saw the housing bubble that destroyed our economy from day one and told us the reasons why was Ron Paul. The only candidate who voted to not go into Iraq and gave us the reasons why. He also told us to expect an attack before it happened based on our foreign policy. Those very same reasons were cited by the head of the CIAs Osama Bin Laden unit Michael Scheuer.

So where does that leave the one you supported?
You need to stop before you really embarrass yourself further...

Here are all of your posts to me. Please mark the one where you ask the question about "successful policies."

You keep commenting on "my candidate." I'm still waiting for you to tell me who that is - you keep ignoring the question. Answer or get out of the way.

You are being paranoid, smart electric meters communicate for a few minutes a day at a lower energy level than a baby monitor. You might as well throw away your laptop, wireless router, cordless phone, and garage door remote if you are that concerned about RF.

Rush just said that he doesn't think Ron Paul could beat Obama, but most any other candidate could. How irresponsible of Rush, to say such a thing.
He also appears to be supporting Romney.

Well he does have a track record there, at least he is consistent.
