Yeah, maybe Voucher should make that argument. That should cinch the debate for him.

Except that argument obviously doesn't ring true for seniors now that they're getting a real look at Voucher's plans for them...

and "vulture" will even be funnier if he was to explain it. Their camp will have to explain what they meant the next day.

Granted this is the West Coast and not MD, and all politics are ultimately "local". But by the same token, maybe you make the same mistake that most conservatives do, which is tenaciously assuming your personal prejudices and experience in your little corner of the universe, accurately reflects the world at large... even when all the evidence says otherwise.

Good luck with that...
Rassmussen was the most accurate pollster in the last presidential election!
The incumbent rule is especially accurate for incumbent presidents.

Rassmussen was the most accurate pollster in the last presidential election. Right leaning, to lefties, is an fair accurate poll. They are so used to left leaning mainstream media polls.

Of course seniors would not be effected at all by any medicare reforms proposed. But seniors will be effected by the $716B cut from medicare by Obama to help fund Obamacare.

They need to retitle Clinton as "The Explainer-In-Chief." Obama owes him BIG TIME for that speech.

It isn't a matter of choices, although that is confusing enough for anyone approaching Medicare.

It is a matter of money. Some retirees are very well off and can afford whatever it costs for their Medicare. Many can't. Medicare Part B now costs $100/mo. Good supplement and drug plan, add another $225/mo. That is $325/mo now for top of the line Medicare coverage. Lot of retirees aren't even on Plan B because they can't afford the $100 premium.

Yes, for current retirees and those 55 and over there is "no change." But, there will be plenty of people retiring in future with no pensions and no savings and very low SS benefits. They can't afford to go into the "open market" and have insurance companies "compete." What profit-minded insurance company in its RIGHT MIND competes to sell health insurance to the elderly. The premiums for this so-called competitive insurance will exceed the subsidy. Furthermore, the subsidy does not keep pace with rising costs of health care which always exceed the rate of inflation.

I've read many comments from those under 55 who know they will be eking it out in retirement NOT liking the Ryan subsidy/voucher plan, at all. They know what their parents are facing now in medical costs - even with Medicare, especially if these parents can't afford a supplement. Right now Advantage plans pick up some of that slack, but you can still be stuck with a big bill if you have a bad year. Medicare DOES NOT cover everything. There can still be substantial out-of-pocket costs and insurance premiums when one is one Medicare.

Still spouting that worn-out old canard? Been debunked numerous times. Visit C-Span why don't you and listen to the people from Kaiser explain the so-called "cuts" from Medicare. Those "cuts" are a GOP lie. Or listen to Clinton. You can hear him on C-Span, too. If you're interested in the facts, that is.

Clinton and facts? hahaha. Are you saying $716B was not cut from medicare to help fund Obamacare? If you are you are wrong.
Romney’s right: Obamacare cuts Medicare by $716 billion. Here’s how.
