Romney wouldn't be releasing any of this, whether it is the full 2011 return or the summaries from the other years. if he was not in trouble in the race. Really, how much difference is it going to make after his recent debacles. You can't fix stupid by suddenly agreeing to release some tax information.

The President’s effective federal income tax rate is 20.5%

the President released his 2011 federal income and gift tax returns. He and the First Lady filed their income tax returns jointly and reported adjusted gross income of $789,674.
About half of the first family’s income is the President’s salary; the other half is from sales proceeds of the President’s books. The Obamas paid $162,074 in total tax.

The President and First Lady also reported donating $172,130 – or about 22% of their adjusted gross income – to 39 different charities. The largest reported gift to charity was a $117,130 contribution to the Fisher House Foundation. The President is donating the after-tax proceeds from his children’s book to Fisher House, a scholarship fund for children of fallen and disabled soldiers.

If Romney was honest (hint: he's not), he would release his 2009 return, and 2008 return, and 2007 return, etc. ... returns he can't go back and amend.

What's he hiding in those unreleased tax returns?
Makes sense

Few scam as well as Romney....
It wasn't long ago that he told us all that he took all the deductions allowed by law and now we're to believe he didn't take them all. "Oh, gee! Look! I payed 13% by not taking them all." He has no credibility.

Yes. What did Romney do in 2000-2009 that is so bad that he needs to keep it from the American people?

That's exactly what George Romney said!

Quote:
"He [George Romney] balked when I badgered him for a copy of his latest Form 1040, the Federal Individual Income Tax Return," [T. George] Harris wrote. "Release of the document, while it might serve a political purpose, would not prove very much, he argued. One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul."
So what did George Romney do?

Quote:
Romney's son has defined his campaign in opposition to his father's, with a strict zone of privacy that extends to his personal finances; he finally released two years of tax returns, and has refused to release more. George Romney, however, called Harris back and surprised him.

"Stumped by this argument, I was not prepared for the move that it eventually led him to make: He ordered up all the Form 1040's that he and Mrs. Romney had filed over the past twelve years — including those profitable ones from when he saved the American Motors Company from bankruptcy and became a millionaire on the company's stock options."
Why George Romney Released His Tax Returns

Sorry, Mitt -- you're just a faint shadow of the man your father was.

I see no benefit in knowing tax returns or college grades. I just want to know what their plans are and how they intend to have them passed by Congress and then alternatives.

I want to hear a 4 year plan, 8 year plan in detail.

Romney paid a very low effective tax rate and by his own words, he a is a government leech who will not be voting for himself come November.

Also, who cares what his (pitiful) tax returns show in 2011 when he was already running for President? I want to see Romney's tax returns when eh thought no one would care.

There is so much irony in this post. You aren't very smart, are you?

Boy, what an off the cuff baseless kind of accusation this is.
Oh, that right is politically beneficial to make stuff up.
