Lying or even insinuating something is what's wrong. Think about how hurtful this was to the family of the truck driver. Think of them for a change, which is something Blowing Babbling Lying Joe Biden has never, ever done.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital. There is no record whatsoever of anyone at the hospital suspecting the guy had been drinking. I worked in an emergency room when I was younger and that is always, always, always noted if it's the case.
Lying JoeBlow is the one who is passing judgement. In public. From a position of power.
Now you are the one lying.
In 1972, it wasn't illegal to drink and drive. Not for truck drivers or anyone else. The standard for DWI was a BAC of .15. And in 1972 emergency rooms didn't note if someone was suspected of having been drinking. It wasn't against the law, and would only have been noted if the driver had been visibly impaired. Alcohol on the breath wouldn't even have warranted a raised eyebrow.
Let's be clear: In 1972 the driver would have had to have a BAC of .15 to have broken the law. At .149 he would have been legal. There would have been NO cause to test his sobriety unless he was visibly impaired.
Did The Joker, I mean, Biden apologize publicly for it?
Apologize publicly for what?
For the suggestion that the driver had had a drink?
FORTY YEARS AGO IT WASN'T ILLEGAL FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE A FEW DRINKS AND THEN DRIVE. IN 1972 YOU COULD LEGALLY DRIVE A CAR OR A TRUCK AFTER DRINKING A SIX-PACK FOR LUNCH. MR BIDEN DIDN'T ACCUSE THE DRIVER OF COMMITTING A CRIME. HE THOUGHT ALCOHOL MIGHT HAVE PLAYED A ROLE. AND WE DON'T KNOW THAT IT DIDN'T. BECAUSE THE POLICE PURSUE CRIMES. AND DRINKING AND DRIVING WASN'T A CRIME IN 1972. THE POLICE HAD NO REASON TO TEST MR DUNN'S BAC UNLESS HE WAS VISIBLY IMPAIRED. FALLING-DOWN DRUNK. SLURRING HIS WORDS. SHOWING SIGNS OF CONFUSION. OPEN CONTAINERS OF ALCOHOL IN THE TRUCK. A DWI ONLY HAPPENED WHEN THE DRIVER'S BAC WAS IN EXCESS OF .15. TODAY'S STANDARD IS HALF THAT.

“I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”
As reported by Inside Edition, a police investigation of the accident showed that Mrs. Biden pulled into an intersection after she failed to notice an oncoming tractor trailer, which apparently had the right of way. The truck’s driver, Curtis Dunn, put his own life at risk in an effort to avoid the collision; he twisted the wheel so hard that he overturned his vehicle. Delaware Online adds emphatically that neither driver had consumed alcohol.

You really are clueless.
I'm sure that if it were you who lost someone in a car accident, your sympathy would be with the other driver right?
Right.
It is simply amazing how people can be so hateful.
And, as many others have noted, they did not test for alcohol in the early 70s.
"hateful"? That doesn't even BEGIN to describe what some of us feel about liars and those who support them. That doesn't even BEGIN to describe how those of us who care about this Nation feel about those working so hard to destroy it.
I used to say the only "people" I could ever hate were rapists pedophiles and racists.
That's not true anymore.
How far back in your history would we have to go to find you making remarks about something you honestly believed but didn't have any foundation for such beliefs?

You notice that the next post from this poster was an Ayn Rand quote.
'Nuff said.
