Here's my take. I predicted Obama will lose early in the year for the simple fact that the White working class is abandoning him in droves. This group are the real swing voters. The Obama campaign during the summer was successful in painting Romney as a villian, the guy who fires you. They spent $200 million running negative campaigns the goal was to disqualify him. Then the 47 percent comment came up and the characterization of Romney as a villian was complete.

Then the first debate came up and folks saw for themselves Romney wasn't some evil guy and Obama really has no vision for the future. Folks were looking for a reason to vote against Obama for someone, Romney gave them that after the first debate hence the movement in the polls for Romney.

There is not much Obama can do at this point to turn it around. He just has to hope his core base of African Americans, Hispanics, college students and single white women come out in numbers enough in the right places to power him to victory.

That seems like a very broad opinion on how you think the election as a whole will unfold.

I'm curious specifically about Ohio. A state where Obama leads in the polls and has never trailed. How is that particular state already gone to Romney?

And to think pubs were claiming that anyone with a pulse could beat Obama in this election. Now there's a chance their boy could lose to Big Bird and Binders.

Soon Romney will be known as the Republican Nominee that lost to Obama in the 2012 Election. Big Bird and Binders of Women will go down in the history notes about Romney as well. So will Bain and 47%. And the empty chair routine.

I haven't seen it in RCP yet, but Obama has taken the lead in the IBD tracker by (rounded) 2 points from tied yesterday.
