He (your great and powerful BHO) never produced a birth certificate that was proven to be legit... The doctor that signed it wasn't a member of that hospital at the time of BHO's birth...

When BHO registered at college, he registered as a FOREIGN STUDENT... oh, but those records are sealed... hum... wonder why?

Yes, I'm a birther - I've been a birther since before the word was first used.
And to answer your question, Hawaii never stopped being a state... And Kenya never has been one.

Can Canadian-born Ted Cruz run for president? (Yes.) - Vox
It is a non-issue to reasonable people. On another thread is a link to an excellent Harvard Law School article about the issue.

You did make one mistake: it is customary herein, when referring to an elected official, to call them by their whole name.

For instance, Rush Limbaugh refers to President Obama as "Barack Hussein Obama". Likewise, here on CD many also refer to the President by his whole name, adding (if someone calls the practice into question) that there is nothing wrong with that, or that any adverse implication may be drawn from the practice.

Hence, please recall that Senator Cruz should be referred to (if not referencing him as "Senator Cruz", which itself is proper) as "Rafael Edward Cruz".

So! Yes, I believe that Rafael Edward Cruz, son of Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, is eligible to run for President of the United States of America.

Legal experts have opined that Cruz is eligible to be president, based upon the undisputed facts.
No, in President Obama's case everybody, other than crazy racist fools knew President Obama was born in Hawaii.

It seems that Ted Cruz was actually born in North Korea.

the majority of legal scholars side on the "citizen at birth" definition of "natural born citizen". under this definition cruz is eligible.

If your American mother gave birth to you in Paris while vacationing there, what would your citizenship be?

i think birtherism is symptomatic of a bigger problem. 25 years ago this level of lunacy was confined to guys screaming on the street corner and the occasional self-published brochure. now, thanks to the internet, people are getting sucked into blog echo-chambers where these ideas are repeated and fester until they are accepted by the followers as fact.

the number of people that believe that the boston bombing and sandy hook were staged events are good examples of how this childishness extends beyond just the birther movement.

The actual law in Customs and Immigration states:

Quote:
One parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of birth and the birthdate is on or after November 14, 1986

The parents are married at the time of birth and the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. or its territories for a period of at least ten years at some time in his or her life prior to the birth, at least five of which were after his or her 14thbirthday.If the U.S. citizen parent spent time abroad in any of the following three capacities, this can also be counted towards the physical presence requirement:
  • Serving honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces;
  • Employed with the U.S. Government; or
  • Employed with certain international organizations.

Additionally, time spent abroad by the U.S. citizen parent while the U.S. citizen parent was the unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person who meets any of the three conditions listed above can also be counted.

If the child was born out of wedlock, see N-600: FAQ.
Citizenship Through Parents | USCIS
Ted Cruz was born on December 22, 1970

Ted Cruz's mother was born in Delaware and grew up in the US - covering the required 10 years. She graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas - covering the 5 years after the age of 14 requirement. She moved to Canada during the 1960's, having spent more time than the requirement in the United States.

I don't understand why some people can't grasp the concept that "natural-born citizen" does NOT have to mean that they were born in US soil, but eligible for citizenship at birth.

my bet is that within the next month we'll see a lawsuit filed by one of the pre-existing birther attorneys. my money is on larry klayman or mario apuzzo ( i don't think orly taitz is going to touch this one ).
