That can be checked. See the different bar codes? Ballots can be crosschecked if an investigation is warranted. It's unlikely many registered Dems voted for R's on June 3rd. They didn't get Cochran fever until after the runoff became necessary.

Um... the Dems weren't having a runoff on June 24th. Only the R's needed a runoff election. You didn't really mean to ask that question, did you?

And yes, the primary and runoff dates are scheduled in advance, though runoffs aren't always needed. That's why the dates are printed on the Poll Book sheets.

There are NO registered Democrats in Mississippi, no regsitered Repulicans either, there is no registration by party.

Because MS has open primaries. You can vote in whichever primary you prefer, but you're limited to participating in only one party's primary election(s). Registered Dem voters who didn't vote on June 3rd were indeed eligible to vote in the R runoff.

Again...

That still doesn't answer the question of why a Democratic poll book was updated in a Republican run-off election.

I'm all for letting the D's have this seat. If the old doddering dribbling fool won't let the seat go and will resort to fair means or fowl, he needs to go and if it takes electing a D to accomplish that, so be it. I think the real conservatives should not only not vote for the guy, they should go ahead, hold their noses and vote for the D. Make the guy a sacrifice.

I don't consider myself a liberal but why would this ruffle their feathers. You guys are eating your own. You don't see this in the democratic party.
