I have no idea what patriotism has to do with it - beware of the jingoist - but I don't think Democrats are very excited about Hillary, or ever were. That's why Sanders has generated so much attention (ideologically pure Ron Paul of the left).

I think many hope another candidate will emerge. O'Malley and Webb haven't caught on.

I remember Herman Cain leading in polls. Much later in the cycle. If the Trump supporters just look at his record,on everything(from eminent domain, gun control, abortion, corporate welfare)they may wake the hell up.

The best thing about Donald Trump is that he is not Hillary Clinton.

To answer your question, Trump is a media phenomenon, a curiosity, a side show. There are a lot of angry folks out there who do not trust anyone and see Trump today for the cathartic relief he represents—a tough-talking, spare-no-prisoner billionaire who does not need the extra money or extra fame.

I think the above forbes article says it much better than I do, and I happen to agree.

I admire people like him, and Republican needs somebody like him because Republican party needs reform. But I don't think he will win presidency.

Do you think he would win? if so, please give me your reasons. I would be willing to listen.

Some of the best things about Trump are:

1) Hes a multi billionaire. No corporation will be able to bribe or buy him off
2) Hes not a career politician already tainted by Washington
3) Hes not concerned with being politically correct for fear of backlash from major corporations and crazies like the LGBT mafia.
4) He will work with Democrats if its something that will benefit the country, especially economically. He's been a member of the Democratic party and contributed to some of their campaigns in the past.

I dont think Trump realizes he is running to be the Commander in Chief of The American Forces, and the bad attitude he has towards POW's is just too bad to mention here. He doesnt want to be President. I think he knows he cant win. He just likes the attention, he begs for it. The more controversy he brings up, the more attention he gets. Everything is about TRUMP, and his ego!
