Medicaid is for the poor and illegals. They pay nothing and get it for free. US taxpayers foot the bill 100%.
Medicare is for seniors. They paid FICA for their working careers and also pay a premium when they turn 65 and enroll. US taxpayers pay 0% towards this. This is paid for via payroll FICA tax.
Now which one do you want to get rid of ?
There are a few million seniors who have both; their incomes are low enough that Medicaid pays their Medicare premiums.
SS is not an entitlement.
As workers, we paid into that program, and are collecting money based on what we put into the plan over a lifetime of work.

Medicaid is welfare regardless of age or citizenship. That and all the other welfare programs are "free money" to them.
