Of all the republican candidates, I like Rand Paul the best, but he does say/believe some things that make me cringe.

when it comes down to Trump, Fox News is never going to live up to what people "think" they are going to do...b/c Trump wants to close down our country to Muslims and Fox news is 50% owned by Muslims.

Rubio and Cruz got called out by Paul and their faces were priceless.

Rand pointed out both Rubio and Cruz's flip flops.

You can't have it both ways haha...that was epic. When it comes to immigration and the amnesty. Cruz wanted to hide under a rock. Rubio looked like he was peeing his pants and what's his obsession with Guantanamo?

I think Jeb was funny and made some good points but he still looks like he wouldn't have the energy and we don't need another Bush.

Christie was to the point as usual and his funny comment about needing a translator to understand Rubio and Cruz and politicians in Washington.

Carson ........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz what, huh zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Paul is he only one who truly walks the walk for the most part.

Kaisich, eclipsed by all of them.

AnywhereElse put a link on one of the threads and I use that without any problems. It was a fantastic success.

No question about it Trump won. Morning Joe was a pleasure to watch this morning. They listed point after point of Trump brilliance.

The debates don't matter much anymore
it's the ground campaigns that matter right now.

You are a dem aren't you?

As a matter of fact MOST of the negative posts from the beginning of the this threads to now are from liberal dems.

So let's be honest, NONE of them are going to like ANYTHING said by ANY of the candidates.

Bush might have won but more importantly, no one cares.

It's always amusing to read the Republican Debate Thread on City-Data - the great majority of the posts are from the Leftists. Look at who they hate the most in the debate and you have the winner of the debate. There are a few die hard Trumpers & a few die hard Cruzers, but the bulk is always the Leftists.

Christie & Paul turned in solid performances. Jeb Bush had his best debate. Cruz lost ground, but it may not matter. Time will tell on whether Trump's 'cut & run' hurt him or not.

Rubio was the clear winner, he has turned in a solid performance in every single debate - easy to understand why the Left fears him. The (so called) Rubio "canned response/rehearsed response" is nothing more than a very solid knowledge on a LOT of issues. How can anyone have a "canned or rehearsed" good and immediate answer to so many unknown questions? It would be impossible.

Rubio knows his stuff - check his record at Congress.gov on the wide variety of bills he has introduced, and the large number of co-sponsers he manages to get on his legislation. It's almost shocking to see the number that have become Law under a Democrat for President. Rand Paul also has a solid record, Cruz has a horrible record - he talks a lot and does nothing. Check them all out.

Fox News = GOP establishment.

No one should expect them to say anything rational at this point.
