Romney was a terrible candidate. I'd bet the vast majority of Trump supporters didn't vote for that loser. You have to build a coalition. That's what Trump is doing and Romney never did.
I'm not sure who that coalition would be but I live in a blue state where everyone thinks Trump is a complete embarrassment.
So Trump is going to flip every swing state, something Romney (going up against an incumbent sitting on 8% unemployment) failed to do 2012. Good stuff.
Occam's Razor says Trump's road to the White House has far more obstacles than Hillary's. For starters, the non-hispanic vote he exclusively caters to is projected to decline in this election.
Even if Trump gets 60% of the non-hispanic white vote (doubtful, given his unpopularity with women), he loses badly.
I don't see any path to victory for Hillary Clinton. She is losing to an old white socialist on Hispanics, getting very small voter turnouts, and her "firewall" southern states are all states she is sure to lose in the general election.
With low Democratic energy, an uninspiring candidate, poor numbers among Hispanics, and the defection of union and black voters to the GOP, how can she possibly get to 270 against an inspiring, uniting GOP candidate with broad support such as Donald J. Trump?
Ask the Sanders supporters. Despite kicking her ass in voting totals, Hillary is leaving Bernie in the dust.
The Clinton machine will turn out voter fraud like the nation has never seen before. If we have a legit election, she is toast, as MANY democrats hate her. She will be even more disliked after she cheated Bernie in the primaries- many of those supporters will harbor a grudge and will stay home on election day.
Obama= voter excitement (too bad he was an incompetent idiot)

I think the map was produced by that "Unskewed polls" guy.

Perhaps you are blind, Ray Charles.
Hillary is no Obama. The democrat base really liked Obama. There is not much universal love among dems for Hillary. Further, Trump is appealing to blacks and blue collar union workers who have been screwed by the Clintons.

Please stop bringing up Romney. Guy was a total loser. Trump supporters don't care about him. Hillary's main obstacle is that people actually have to come out and vote for her. Most people hate her so that is a big obstacle.

Past candidates don't determine elections. It's the present candidates that do. Case in point in just 8 years.
Electoral maps can make dramatic changes in short time.
Based on the fact that Hillary and the Democrats have lost the Middle Class, she is facing landslide losses.
The electoral map will be completely changed.
Map looks about right to me.
As mentioned, Hillary is a terrible candidate. She's just barely beating a 74 year old borderline communist.
Trump is going to pull nearly all of the middle class. Democrats are not energized this go around. And who can blame them, what's to be excited about? More of the same old tired politics from a crooked career politician like Hillary?
