How prevalent is the KKK in society? They are a fringe group with no power. Tapper (and some CD members) are acting like it is still the 1950s and Trump is supporting lynchings and burning crosses. Get real.

I don't agree with the KKK, but neither do I agree with the Black Panthers or BLM movement. But I support my fellow citizens to have the freedom to hold whatever beliefs they want to. They just should not act on them if it creates harm to a fellow human being or results in them being given rights and privileges that are not available to all.

  • Trump continues to rise in polls.
This formula has been repeated endlessly since last summer to great effect for Trump. Got to give Trump credit for playing his detractors like a fiddle.
His detractors like a fiddle?

Nah!

Credit where credit is due.

Gotta give Donny credit for playing his blind, swooning adulators like a Philharmonic Orchestra.

Don't underestimate the power of dumb statements by Trump giving momentum to these white supremacy groups, he's their guy.

"Three people were stabbed and 13 others were arrested when a Ku Klux Klan rally in Anaheim erupted in violence Saturday, police said.
A small group of people representing the Klan had announced that it would hold a rally at Pearson Park at 1:30 p.m., police said. By 11 a.m., several dozen protesters had shown up to confront the Klan."

Dear,

If I click on "Find All Posts by Burdell", result = page full of posts from you talking about Trump and no other politician. Obviously you don't support Trump.

Thus, point is proved. Trump plays his detractors like fiddle.

I can see a future interview.

Interviewer: Mr Trump, The Westboro Baptist Church, the group who pickets outside the funerals of our deceased Soldiers, has endorsed you. Any comments?

TRUMP: Well that's awesome.

Interviewer: This group is among the most renown hate groups in our country.

Trump: Hey, they got Baptist in their name. Can't be that bad can they?

How could any rational person in America vote for someone who claims he didn't know who David Duke is or what a KKK endorsement means? He was using a dog whistle on his racist fans, trying to bring in more by dragging his feet to give a lukewarm denouncement when he finally got around to it under pressure.

According to reports, protester attacked kkk member. Did he deserve to get stabbed? No, but the protesters went there looking for trouble and unfortunately they found it. What did they expect - to have a sit down civil discussion of their differences?

As distasteful as the kkk is, holding their rally or being a member is not against the law .... yet.

95% of the people in the USA don't give a damn about this, yet again MSM created false controversy. They are far more concerned at putting food on the table for their family.

For the perpetually outraged 5% who do, it doesn't matter. They aren't voting for Trump anyway.

MSM was trying to educate the uneducated when they confronted Trump about this issue. It might be "false controversy" to people who think like the KKK but Trump's reaction to David Duke is calculated and scary to many others and showcases his two-faced racism.

Educate the uneducated? Utter nonsense. It is just another "let's make a Trump controversy" over something he has no control over.
