Tru!MP has tapped into a vocal part of the Republicans, yet to see how this transfers over into the general election though.

He might be winning MN. If you listen to his speeches you would think that he is the frontrunner yet he has come in third in most states.

It may sound foolish but honestly, why should they resign themselves to "I lost, I have no chance." It's not like Trump and The media wouldn't lampoon and lambast them on it.

Rubio would get eaten for lunch in the debates with Hillary. He's a bought-and-paid-for puppet, an establishment clown that's not very bright but memorizes everything. He will never be the people's choice, and probably not the nominee.

The Donald is winning because he has brought people back to the GOP and expanded its base in a way no candidate has since Ronald Reagan. The People's Billionaire is the only one on that stage that can defeat Hillary Clinton. The establishment just has to get behind him and listen to what the people want instead of corporations and donors.

Don't be so sure. He might one day run for governor of Florida, perhaps even for president in a few years after gaining experience.

He needs to make it a close loss in order for that to happen.

Would you vote Rubio against Hillary, yes or no?

And the GOP wouldn't throw the race with Trump as the nominee?

I don't see the 23 being a whole lot to keep Rubio in the game. It's just a breathing room especially if he is to lose Florida.

As for what you are saying, you are right that a Brokered Convention is the best alternative to a Trump nomination to even get anywhere close to a Republican in the White House. I don't see moderates voting for Trump in droves.
Trump IS a moderate. He's fiscally moderate and socially liberal (though he has had to sound more anti-choice and anti-gay because of what Cruz has been attacking him on). Many Democrats and Independents even have voted for The Donald because of this. In many ways, he is reforming the party.

If he is moderate then I must be liberal. Trump is as moderate as the Dixiecrats and Wallace in the 1960's.

Let's be honest. The real winner tonight is Marco Rubio. He is right on track to wrap up the nomination on March 15th.
