Let's see - of the hundreds of Democratic nomination polls, all but a handful showed Clinton winning. And Clinton won.
RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - 2016 Democratic Presidential Nomination

Since the middle of July 2015, all but a handful of Republican nomination polls had Trump winning. And Trump won.

So, no, the primary polls were not 'very inaccurate'.

And, as has been established for many years, general election polls are more predictive than primary polls, for a variety of reasons (mostly, fewer candidate - binary races tend to be zero-sum calculations, which numerous candidates make for much more complicated dynamics - and a much larger electorate which is more predictable).

Do you have any more straws at which to desperately clutch?

Yep.

Cherry picking only the numbers that can remotely be twisted into suggesting Trump has an advantage is going to lead to a repeat of 2012 and Rove's breakdown on national TV.

Sorry, but that defies logic.

The polls are being skewed by polling more democrats.
Trump's doom and gloom convention, his hissy fit tiff with the Khan's and his 'accepting' the purple heart may have had something to do with it.

Maybe she didn't rise so much as he went down that much...

No, he was campaigning in the district he does not have a chance to win.

The polls mean NOTHING! There are tons of people out there like me, who refuse to partake in the polls, number one reason for me, is you cannot vote the polls without leaving your telephone number, and once you do that, they are calling you all the time.

We all have our reasons, but believe me, the polls mean nothing....

Again, projecting a winner in an election 3 months away is a sure way to get pwned, big time.

The polls mean nothing! That's why Donnie spent half the primary talking about how well he was doing in them, right?

Early polls are used to manipulate folks, I'll wait for the exit polls in November.
