But you are obviously missing the point of someone dredging up this pre-election thread. It is to say that the dire predictions of liberals, that the (R's) must change and give into pro-illegal immigration was bogus.

There is no partisanship in securing Creator endowed rights.
There is no ethnic nor ideological conflict over prosecuting rapists, murderers, thieves, and other criminals.
There is only partisanship in the 'Tax and Bribe' socialist system.
Abolish socialism, and the issue goes away.

Do you really think "Latino" is a voting block? Do NY Puerto Ricans, for example, care about Arizona Mexican border issues? Do California Mexican Americans give a hoot about US/Cuba relations?

More crying from folks that can't seem to grasp the entire US election process. Gotta love it.

Throw that man a life preserver before he drown in his own tears.

Oh yeah, the whole "Latino vote" thing. Haha......the people who were counting on that were waaaay off.

But I never understood: where were "Latinos" supposed to swing the election, exactly? Was it all about Florida? Anyone who thinks that either party has a lock on Florida isn't thinking straight.

That's why you should understand how our elections work before you start making predictions about how they will turn out.

Florida's Hispanic population is made up of mostly Cubans. They tend to vote Republican with no horse in the amnesty race. The southwest on the other hand is made up of mostly Mexican Hispanics and they are the ones who voted Democrat based on their amnesty stance. Calif. is made of many Mexican Hispanics here illegally and their ethnocentric supporters is why Calif. captured the Hispanic vote there.
