Its Sunday, so have we learned that The FBI is actually reopening an investigation into Clinton because these emails that surfaced, have we learned that they are significant? Seems irresponsible and political in nature as he wrote to RNC members of Congress. Trump better win for Comey sake. If no pertinent information surfaces his pension goes bye bye.

Highly doubt that. You think he really said to himself, "Hey I found some emails on Huma's computer". "Time to tell the world I'm re-opening an investigation into one of the Presidential Candidates."

Really, he's got something. Or someone has something over him. Either way it's not nothing.
But have we actually learned anything eigher way ? Unless something incriminating surfaces it wont hurt Clinton much. Why, because people don't trust Republicans much, they think they are creating crooked and use the government's institutions to do crooked things, like Iran Contra, and to rig the Florida election 2008, and to impeach Bill Clinton, and to start a war against Iraq. So a republican FBI boss sends this email a week before an election with no facts. It wont have much traction.

Has any press picked up story that FBI had no search warrant to open any of Abekin's emails?

Any TV reports?

And this is why you aren't a federal agent. When you trip over evidence in another case while examining a computer, you read just enough of it to determine what it is (like one or two e-mails), determine the general size of the file, and then you lock it down, consult your supervisor and get a warrant.

The reason an agent would not do what you think happens is because it taints not only the evidence in the computer, it taints everything that is subsequently derived from it. You would virtually assure there could never be a prosecution.

Since Bureau agents are graded (among other things) on how well they produce prosecutable cases, you would be cutting your own evaluation.

You take the extra three days, get a warrant, and do it legally. Then you can read it to your heart's content.

TV police shows or active hostage scenes notwithstanding, it actually takes a couple days - at a minimum - to get a federal search warrant. Typically longer in white collar crime cases. This falls closer to the latter.

I guess the question is this reopening of the FBI case going to change any ones vote?
Seems to me without further elaboration all we have is Anthony Weiner has some questionable emails, his wife worked for Hillary therefore Hillary must be guilty in some way?
IMO Comey had to know reopening this case would imply a negative on the Clinton campaign, with absolutely no specifics on the whys of his actions i'm wondering what his motivations were for doing this at this time.

I'm sure they did think they had it in the bag. They were leading by about seven points in the polls and most prediction models were giving her about a 90% chance of victory. She's now leading by a little under five points in the polls, and the polls may not be accurately reflecting the damage yet. The prediction models have her at 80%.

She's still likely to win, but it is less certain than it would have been had the election been held last week.

Default Proceed With Caution on FBI and Clinton Emails

The story is big, but don't get sucked in. Don't lose sight of everything in the environment.

The people pushing this narrative are all Clinton allies (the FBI and the press). WikiLeaks has hit them hard, and they claim to have something big coming up. This may be a distraction to dampen the effect of what WikiLeaks has... and the Clintons know what WikiLeaks has, because they were involved in this whole fiasco.

This whole Weiner, Huma, sexting, Trump predicted this a year ago... just seems to be too "perfect" of a situation. And then - what better way to get an election bump by the FBI saying everything is OK - just before election day.

And besides... there is nothing in in these new "emails". Keep focused on WikiLeaks...

Hillary Clinton's Emails: The Real Reason the FBI Is Reviewing More of Them

The disclosure by the Federal Bureau of Investigation late on Friday, October 28 that it had discovered potential new evidence in its inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s handling of her personal email when she was Secretary of State has virtually nothing to do with any actions taken by the Democratic nominee, according to government records and an official with knowledge of the investigation, who spoke to Newsweek on condition of anonymity.

The revelation that the FBI has discovered additional emails convulsed the political world, and led to widespread (and erroneous) claims and speculation. Many Republicans proclaimed that the discovery suggests Clinton may have broken the law, while Democrats condemned FBI Director James Comey for disclosing this information less than two weeks before the election, claiming he did it for political purposes.

...
The truth is much less explosive. There is no indication the emails in question were withheld by Clinton during the investigation, the law enforcement official told Newsweek, nor does the discovery suggest she did anything illegal. Also, none of the emails were to or from Clinton, the official said. Moreover, despite the widespread claims in the media that this development had prompted the FBI to “reopen” the case, it did not; such investigations are never actually closed, and it is common for law enforcement to discover new information that needs to be examined.

I remember the days when elections were about policy and who would actually benefit America more.

Now there's a trade off of scandals.

Let's face it - America has turned into full scale reality TV mode.

Thats exactly what Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter have been warning of from the minute the news broke.

What if Comey by Tuesday closes the investigation and people feel sorry for her and this was all a hoax to make her get a push in the back and distract from Wikileaks
