Wow, you certainly have a colorful array of people in your family.

Can't change it... time to move on. I was upset too but time to put the big girl/boy pants on.

Now there is a Republican Congress and President. They have whined for the past 8 years about not being able to do what they want, now they have the opportunity. Let's see what they get done and if it is in the interest of the majority of Americans. They will be judged by the American people in two years and again in four years. In the meantime the Democrats will have time to clean up their act. The pendulum always swings back and forth.

Good news is that Trump has already toned down his more extreme language... I think we will see a much more moderate president than we were expecting. I'm optimistic on the economy but I'm a bit nervous on foreign policy. At any rate, Trump won decisively and legally, so he deserves the opportunity to preside over the country... I'll reserve my judgment for sometime next year once I see what, if anything, he has accomplished and if it serves the best interests of our country.

OMG. As someone who has dedicated the bulk of my adult life promoting and training women leaders for success in business and elsewhere, it enraged me to think that the first woman president could be Hillary, the liar and cheat. I'm a social scientist who focuses on issues related to women leaders. Hillary didn't lose because she has a vagina, but because she is a horrible candidate.

Also, why don't you go visit those hollowed-out, depressed towns in the "rust belt states" before casting judgment on them?

This is the way a lot of us felt when Obama took the White House.

This is just a replay from an earlier time. The only thing stopping socialism is capitalism. People look at capitalism and say, hey, I too could have a better life.

I heard Trump talk long before he even announced his run for the presidency and I also think he is more of a centrist. I remember when Romney ran and they attacked him because he was rich. They just starting to attack Trump for being rich and Trump blew PC right out of the water when he said. "I'm rich, very rich". I knew right then he knew he would have to be outspoken and scrap PC to be heard and he was right. I hope people will do better financially but it takes more than just government. Either way, we can once again scrap this left wing extremism for a little while until it figures out a new way to rear it's ugly head.

Did I ever tell you I ended up voting for your boy Johnson?

My wife wrote in Sanders here in Texas even though there's a sore loser law.

In any case, I'm planning on buying a few firearms, and might do some prepping "lite". There's a lot of talk of another recession coming.

Who cares. The important thing is that Hillary lost.

I always knew he was a moderate and speaks in hyperbole. I personally like him better than any other Republican they had, besides Rand Paul. Ted Cruz actually ran on obstructionism. I'm tired of party politicians. Maybe Trump will be able to work with both sides to get things done. At least he will try. What does he have to lose? And if he ends up being as bad as you guys say, he's out in four years. He may be anyway because he's no spring chicken. And if the dems could uncurl from that fetal position, they may figure out how to win mid-terms.
