Well being almost 80 doesn't seem to be much of a barrier these days, as I hear Democrats mentioning Joe Biden. For an inconsequential house Rep she sure seems to get a lot of press attention, but I doubt she'd ever run. We were talking about sane potential candidates, and IMHO there seems to be a dearth of them.

Only the Repubs are interested in Maxine Waters running on the Democratic ticket. The Dems know better than to run such a blabbermouth. You guys are praying the Dems run a black person because (sadly) that would be an automatic loss in the Presidential election.

Maybe the Repubs will run Roy Moore in 2020. He now has almost as much name recognition as Trump!

You do realize, don’t you, that Trump only won because so many voters, not just the Deplorables, came out to vote against Hillary. I have many well educated, well-to-do friends who admit they only voted for Trump because they hated Hillary. Practically any other candidate would have beaten him. Personally, I like Hillary because she’s smart and very experienced in government, which Donald Trump obviously is not.

Exactly! Democrats are in it for women, minorities, and LGBTQ community. They hate white working men, like myself. Why should I vote for a party who dislikes me?

If I were to use your logic, I could easily say, as a Black man. I won't vote for Republicans because they dislike Blacks. This based on your own logic.

Okay, so, many times throughout her campaign, Clinton said that she is in it for minorities and women. There are even supporters of her who say they hate white men. Why do you think the white people vote republican every single election?

The Democrats were always the party of the working people, until the Repubs figured that out and began to pretend that they cared about the working class. But if you read carefully the new tax law they are trying to pass, you will see that it is loaded with goodies for the rich, especially the Trump family, Don’t be fooled into thinking that the Repubs care one bit about you. They are USING you.

I believe it was until the Democrats started really pushing the identity politics on people, and the PC. People were tired of the dems pushing the supposed "women" who are really men using the restroom with other women and that you can't say illegal immigrant without being called racist. Just my guess.

If that were the case (it isn't), I (a white working man) would be aware of it.

There is a difference between not wanting white working men to have all the power and "hating" them

Well, you are definitely a minority as to white men voting democrat. We are tired of being shut down and being called racist when we speak up. That's why 63% of white men voted republican and only 31% voted democrat this past election. We are also tired of being blamed for everyone's problems.
