America this says it all about your future in the McCain/Palin Social Conservative America.
The lines are becoming clearer for independents.

I really hope the National Enquirer runs the story. I really do. It's just another log to throw onto the fire that shows how the media is trying to smear Palin.

If the Enquirer runs the story, it'll do nothing but help her and McCain's ticket.

'Troopergate' inquiry hangs over campaign: Gov. Sarah Palin | adn.com
McCain/Palin campaign said in a statement, blaming the issue on the campaign of the Democratic nominee, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama. "It’s outrageous that the Obama campaign is trying to attack her over a family issue. As a reformer and a leader on ethics reform, she has been happy to help out in the investigation of this matter, because she was never directly involved."

But the trooper controversy has been swirling around Palin for weeks, long before Palin was launched Friday into the bright lights of the national campaign.

Even the Alaska papers question the McCain Rove attempt to blame Obama for everything in Alaska over the last 7 years.

Is the previous link from the Anchorage paper part of the media smear from
Washington. Was the Anchorage press consulted as part of the vetting process to see if there were any hot button items?

Doubtful. Obama's plausible deniability by villifying anyone involved with smear tactics will, in all probability, work.

Don't know, don't care unless they feel the need to make an issue of it.

I truly believe that it will prevent any rage or disaffection from his supporters. But I don't think that discounts the sympathy and affection that will flow to the other side.

As far as Troopergate, it's only something that's perpetuated by those that have grossly ignored the facts. The fact is that there's no factual link showing any abuse of power continues the story line of people and media harping on an issue which there is not smoking gun or evidence to make her look bad. Those that perpetuate such stories without any factual basis are doing nothing but helping her.
