I am very sure that people who are tollerant of different cultures, religions, etc are 99% more likely to be liberal. After all that is the big reason on being liberal, tolerance.

I know it is hard to think about.

They claim to be tolerant, but they are not. Tolerant of other religions? Only if that religion isn't CHRISTIAN! And Dems have been out in force on this board accusing anyone not voting for Obama of being racist. THAT is racist. And then you talk about equality for woman - oh, as long as the woman isn't a conservative woman. You liberals have discredited everything you claim to stand for during this election.

Well I have learned alot about the people I know down here in Virginia, because I have heard the N word used to describe Obama from little ofd ladies, VFw members, local businessmen, etc. Was a shock because they were not the usual suspects that you might expect to harbor ill will against an entire race of people. Let's say my acquaintance list is smaller after this.

Since I am a Christian, your assertion that liberals do not like Christians is incorrect because we make up a huge chunk of the churches. Voting against Obama for any number of policy reasons is of course expected, however, voting against someone because of the pigment in their skin is absurd, so if one agree swith all his policies and decide to not vote for him based on skin color, then one would be voting on race. No one says Gov Palin does not have an equal right to run, but she also has an equal right to lose. Voting for Palin because she is a woman if one does not agree with her policy stands would be sexist. I think the overarching statements are getting too silly on here.

I have lost one friend because she knew I agreed with her but I wouldn't argue voraciously with our more conservative friends. This is not the kind of friend I want anyway.
My marriage is intact but the amount of time I spend obsessing on this election cycle is a bit over the top. We can handle a few more weeks.

Then answer me this:

How many hollywood actors are voting for Obama?
How many are voting for McCain?

How many in Hollywood have made hatefull remarks about McCain/Palin?
How many Have made a similar remark against Obama/Biden?

I welcome discussions with my family and friends about politics and luckily they don't tend to get heated. Most of the people I associate with are level headed and representative of both parties. Unfortunately my neighbors won't speak to me because we have Obama banners (I'm voting for Barr, but my roomates are all for Obama) and don't even wave to me anymore when I'm walking my dog. My dad is also a supporter for Prop 8, while I am against it. He's voting for McCain and is a lifelong right wing republican, and I've always teetered on the Libertarian/Independent side so it does cause some issues. Nothing anyone has done will ever cause me to disown them, so it's not a big deal to me.

Well you haven't been paying attention if you think liberals are tolerant of Christians; they are NOT. Not Christians that believe in basic Christian values anyway.

I don't know of anyone who agrees with Obama's policies and is not voting for him because of his skin color. What the heck? I have stated repeatedly on this board that I disagree with everything he stands for, just like I disagreed with Gore and Kerry. And yet I have been called a racist over and over again. What is that about? I would wholeheartedly support Condi Rice. I would not support Barack Obama no matter what color he was.

The Dems' treatment of Sarah Palin has been appalling. They have bascially told her she needs to stay home with her children. So much for women's equality, women's rights, etc. Why don't you tell Barack Obama to stay home and care for HIS children? Gosh, Kennedy had young children when he was in the white house and even had a child born while he was in the white house that later died. I guess he should have given up the presidency and focused on his family.
