Who's an idiot? I never said ALL republicans were racist...I said my friend is a racist Republican....and he is.

AND posters in here HAVE said ALL Democrats are on welfare.

Examples please...

where or when are people "intolerant" of Christians, when Christians are not trying to force their values on the entire country?
I would really love some examples....

This is out and out superstition from a time long past, when shepherds sat on the hills and wrote poems about a vengeful and racist God and when women were banned from conversations with men other than family members. When men were expected to marry a dead brother's wife.
Some people don't get it.
Tolerance is not a one way street.

My (ex) friend who used the "N" word thinks he's a Christian......

And NO where has anyone said conservative women weren't equal or didn't deserve equal rights. ...NO where.

In fact , many conservative women are christian feminists who have had abortions....

I disagree with you. But it's difficult because you don't provide any instances of intolerance. It may be that the breakdown is in defining intolerance and also in how people view what is religious practice. Living in Baptist country, I understand that many devout people feel that they have to provide testimony to their beliefs, and that their faith informs their lives on a daily basis. For people not as devout, the view is more that religion is important, but that there is a place and time for it. So you have conflict when the two come together. The devout feel that people are being intolerant by setting boundaries, but people of other beliefs feel that they are being disrespected.

I don't think anybody is truely tolerant. Everybody is annoyed with atleast one group of people.

Mine is Neo-cons. There failure to move forward, accept science, and forcing their religion down my throat just makes me mad.

We would be colonizing Mars right now if it wasn't for these people.

Well, to get back on topic....
No my political views have not affected my relationships. My husband and I see exactly eye to eye on this and my friends might have slightly different views, but there is not one of them who is voting for McCain, or at least they won't admit to it.
