Many posts back, maybe will take the time to find it, posters here were stating there were foreign people, including Americans and Brits, fighting in the Ukrainian army, yet all dismissed as "Putin propaganda".
This guy only hit the mainstream news, even though non-mainstream outlets have been reporting on it for months, because he was killed.
"A Ukrainian official accused Russia of directly invading the country under the guise of humanitarian aid Friday, after Ukraine's military said that part of a Russian aid convoy violated an deal by entering Ukraine without Red Cross monitors."
Yet,
"Russia sent 34 trucks from an aid convoy into eastern Ukraine after Russian and Ukrainian customs officials cleared them under the assumption that the International Committee of the Red Cross would be with them, the Ukrainian military said."
So, Kiev says it is a "direct invasion", yet states its own border guards cleared the convoy? If the Ukrainian border guards did not see the Red Cross with the convoy, why did they clear them?
If this is a "direct invasion" as Kiev states, what should Russia call it when hundreds of Ukrainian troops crossed into Russia a few weeks ago?
Paslawsky was Ukrainian-American and held both an American and a Ukrainian passport.
Uh no, he was born in NY, and he claimed Ukrainian ancestry. If he had citizenship, it is only because it was granted to him when he joined the Ukrainian army.
"55-year-old Mark Gregory Paslawsky was an investment banker who grew up in New Jersey and moved to Ukraine about 20 years ago. He took on Ukrainian citizenship before joining the fight, which he told Vice he was eligible for because of his Ukrainian family background."
"The citizenship of Ukraine may be acquired in one of the following ways:
- being born abroad, having permanent residence in Ukraine, with at least one parent a citizen of Ukraine."
That's probably what happened. Anyways, he doesn't seem to be the American mercenary Russian media is making up right now.
55 years old, and eligble for ATO forces. Kind of revealing how low-key the whole operation has been, and how reluctant the Ukrainians are fighting each other, on both sides.
Can't help thinking what a few battalions of Polish-Finnish neo-nazi scum with military education could achieve there.

Actually, my source was the American media, Fox news at that.
As you stated, he took citizenship before the fight, I imply that to mean he took it up right before he joined the army. But point is the total dismissal as any evidence of this before as "propaganda", just because the mainstream western media was not reporting it.
This is the same with Syria, where it has been stated before for over a year at least that there were reports of US forces in Syria, all dismissed as "false" and "propaganda", until this week when the US admitted it sent special forces in a few times to try to rescue the American hostage that was recently killed. Along with that, the training camp in Jordan the US admitted to though there were reports of it from the beginning, yet all dismissed as "propaganda".
I wonder what more stuff will come out of this in the future, I feel it is highly likely there are US or NATO advisors in Ukraine now, as well as active involvement in intel.
BBC news today. Russian convoy entered Ukraine without permission and without the Red Cross. It seems like the Russian's are trying provoke the Ukrainian government. Remember when Putin said it would not enter the Ukraine without permission.
The Russian's are incapable of keeping their word, you just can't trust them.

Not only the Ukrainians failed to show up for inspection agreed upon procedures at the custom point, they've refused to guarantee the Red Cross ( and everyone else) their safety. So Russian trucks had to turn back and wait on their territory.
Meanwhile, people of Lugansk are not only without food, but without water as well. They've drunk the last water from the city fountains as British blogger turned journalist Graham Phillips is reporting from Lugansk.
You Albion out of all people should sign up for his channel.
P.S. Good for Russians that they've decided to go ahead with humanitarian aid to suffering civilians after all, in spite of the decisions of the criminal pigs in Kiev.

Actually, according to other media sources, including the one I posted, Ukrainian border guards cleared the convoy to go into Ukraine. The issue is Ukraine and Russia, as stated in the article, assumed the Red Cross also gave the go ahead.
I have a feeling this is just some serious spin by Kiev over what is a miscommunication, after all, Ukraine's own border guards cleared the convoy. I suspect it was only later determined that the Red Cross in fact had not gave its go ahead or whatever is needed from them.
The ridiculous spin on this is from Kiev, stating "it is a direct invasion", acting like Russia just crossed the border with thousands of troops and tanks. It looks more like a paperwork event more than anything else.
If Ukrainian border guards did not clear it, I would see Kiev's point kind of, but since Ukraine's border guards did clear the convoy, I think Kiev is just desperate to make something out of anything at this point.
Edit: I thought the previous 180 truck convoy was a done deal, I was incorrect, I thought the new story was about another convoy since it mentioned much fewer trucks.
