I guess you could argue the ruble only going from 61 up to 80 and now floating around 76 to 77 as "good", as this "only" erodes purchasing power by 25%.
To be honest, I assumed that ruble will fall to 100. And, perhaps, it will happen. But while ruble has not broken the 2016 record. So far, things are not as bad as it could be.
Hello everyone I so liked the discussion of the latest weapons of the Russian Federation, the data is provided in the palm of your hand, available to any user )))I understand that the defense Minister personally and weekly reports on the work done to some participants of this forum ))) Thank you, smiled))))
A short video on the topic of oil )) All good mood ! (English subtitles are available in the video)

Those euro and dollar cash reserves help a LOT. The Russian central bank is run by absolute professionals. It also helps that everyone is debasing their currency at the same time. What matters most though is how much production they need to cut and how long this demand destruction will last. Who's paying the salary for Russians in April? Here a lot of people are being paid not to work for 8 to 13 weeks depending on the program. I just hope its all over in June.
A short video, including one about the oil crisis.
It was kinda an interesting video Turist - unfortunately too long and full of details for translation, but the bottom line of it, is that there was already oil crisis back in the 80ies, which lead ( more or less) to collapse of the USSR and some other major global political repercussions, in the Middle East including.
And this current oil crisis will not be an exception. With which I agree, so I'll not even talk about the nuclear energy, earlier Russian proposals, (IAEA and so on discussed in this video as well.)
The next latest Russian video that popped up in my feed was even more interesting, discussing the US - China relations, the Chinese ambitions, the latest visit of Bolton to Mongolia and what's behind it, ( just wow,) and of course where Russia finds herself in this whole "big game."
If I'll put all this yet again in the context of the *unintended political consequences* of the Covid-19, then to make the long story short - it looks like it will lead to the further confrontation between the US and China, and strengthening of ties between China and Russia. ( There will be other players involved - no doubt; India and Pakistan come to mind ( per discussion in one of the videos.)
So the more I am watching the unfolding situation from international point of view, the more (as surprising as it is) I find myself in Trump's corner, in a similar manner as I saw it during the "Ukrainegate."
As I've already mentioned before, I detest China with its culture of destruction, and I don't leave out of sight, who facilitated China being put in position of any economic/political power.
Sure enough, it was not Trump, but Hillary Clinton sitting on the board of directors of Walmart, and it was not Trump but Bill Clinton, on whose watch "Russia's transformation" took place.
So it is what it is, and that's why, being originally left-minded, I find myself ( strangely enough) in Trump's corner, when it comes to international affairs.
...and now- back to the video I was ORIGINALLY planning to comment on.
This was an interesting segment on Coronavirus on Russian news.
Number one - it gives the age brackets for those affected by disease, dispelling the original myth of "the old people's plague."
So what they are saying here, is that (at least in Russia) the age groups are the following;
From 18 to 45 years old - 43,5 %
From 46 to 65 - 36.5%
From 66 to 79 -10%
Older than 80 - 5%.
Children - 4.5%
Another interesting thing they mention here is that in Russia they use their own technology treating the most difficult cases. That is, instead of the ventilators ( that proved to be ineffective, leading to a big numbers of resulting deaths,) they use helium, ( which used at certain temperatures plays the role of the oxygen conductor to the body.)
Overall, the leading doctors here give very detailed and well-balanced explanations about the disease ( based on their observations so far.)
I won't be surprised if Russia out of all places will find solution to this plague.
P.S. Ruth, just in case you still wonder whether Russia is up to a task to deal with the outbreak, have a look at the hospitals and the equipment there.
( I assume it's Moscow, which is affected by it the most.)
Can someone tell me what this strange building is? I have no ideas. Granary? Freezer? It might be better to turn to the Oklahoma state forum but I'm afraid that there will be conversations about why I am interested (because I'm curious).

I don’t know, all that I could find is that Cushing, Oklahoma experienced an oil boom in the early 1910s and there were a lot of oil refineries there too. This building looks to be around that age so I would assume it had something to do with the oil industry.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually the oil storages attracted my attention, I wanted to see how it looks. And by chance I saw a strange building.
