Sorry about my absence. I have been running and mountain biking the last two weeks at the US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs. Beautiful scenery. Couldn't post due to CDF suspension about 4th of July hot dog eating contest being cruel to those in the world suffering from famine.

elliptical and stepmill for 40 minutes for starters. then it was arms and abs. one of the things I hate about vacation is the effect on my workout..prior to vacation, I used 30 lbs dumbbells more and more for the overhead press. this week i had to stay at 25. i need to address my legs. my upper body is really doing great but I'd really like some lower body definition. I don't intentionally avoid leg day but i find myself really not liking the squat...proper form is important since I have arthritis, and getting the form down pat is a bit of a challenge for me.

Cycled 22 miles, easily crossed 20+ hills. The hills kicked my behind, not the distance. Great workout!

Ran 15.5 miles at an 8:45/min pace. Yup, I'm pretty much all about running right now.

70 minute run outside. It was a hot one. I stayed in the shade which helped. Wanted to go to yoga too but I was too tired from the run. Hopefully tomorrow
