I use the crystal mineral salt. It works for me. It doesn't prevent wetness but keeps the BO away.

I used regular anti perspirant for years but in my late 40's it caused worse BO than not using anything. I also got sick of the way it stained clothes. When I started using the crystal it took awhile to get used to my armpits sweating, but really they are supposed to sweat. Most people just don't like the stinky BO!

Thanks for the recommendation graytabbie!

Today was day 1 with Native deodorant and it was a good day!

Day two of the Native deodorant and I am very pleased. Absolutely NO smell. I do sweat a bit but that was expected. At least the sweat doesn't smell.

So far Native is decent. It wasn't quite enough for a super sweaty workout. Ample for a day - not quite 24 hours though.

It doesn't work if you put lotion on first though - that was a learning!

We will see after 2 weeks if performance improves and do more workout tests.

Just wanted to update. I have been using Native deodorant for about two weeks and I love it!

I still sweat but there is no odor! I am thrilled to have found this!

I have found Native to be pretty good. It is not as good as Secret or Dove for me. But good enough. It doesn't survive exercise on me. But it lasts for most of a day. I need to clean up and reapply each day.

But since I have been looking for a more natural alternative, this is a good start.

I also am using the sensitive skin one, free of baking soda. Which is probably less effective than the regular formula. I always found the baking soda/coconut oil combo was effective at odor but irritated my skin.

I used to use Secret and I loved it but I wanted to get away from the aluminium.

I haven't had any issues with irritation with the Native deodorant. I ordered the 3-pak so hopefully it will last a few months!

I tried Schmidt - another highly recommended natural brand and it makes me itchy. I have been trying to ditch aluminum for a while. But each of the ones with coconut oil / baking soda / arrowroot have caused me issues. Even though they were effective. Not everyone is sensitive to the baking soda though - but it was a tip from the clerk at my local natural pharmacist.
