So you might ask about that. I've had several procedures for comfort reasons and 1/2 were fine, 1/2 were very disappointing and a waste of big money.

Not sure about Turkey. Lots of conflict going on there. My missionary relatives got kicked out.

We WERE going to go there, before Covid. Izmir looked lovely.
I didn't have any money in my 30s. Lol

I live in Chicago and I actuall work for a large teaching hospital and will soon work for an even bigger one. So I appreciate the recommendation.

My nose doesn't work that great but I won't have it done because I could not go with not breathing out of my nose for two or so weeks. Forget it.

Best suggestion I have is to watch the show Botched, you will of course see botched noses in just about every episode because one doctor does noses, the other boob jobs. A lot of people have had bad nose jobs done, some have had 3 or so bad ones. You can only do it so many times before you become Michael Jackson with no nose left, or a guy on a new TLC show body parts, episode one where he lose his nose to cancer. I imagine Jackson was somewhere in between after all of his revisions failed.

At the very least, you would want to see photos of work the doctor has done.

I know they're not recommended on people younger than early twenties because the nose is still growing. My question would be is there an age where it's risky to do it? Add that to your doctor question list. Have they done them on people your age?

I'm pretty sure that is where Darcey and Stacey who have a show on TLC went for their last plastic surgery, boob job plus they had veneers done there, don't recall what else.

No concerns about over-seas surgery in Turkey?

I would be a bit scared personally.. but seems its become the place to have work done.. some info Thanks to plastic surgery, people can make aesthetic changes to any part of their body. Plastic surgery is one of the rapidly growing and developing medical fields today. Most people want to have not only good health but also an attractive appearance. That’s why today, modern cosmetic surgery methods are developing, becoming safer and less traumatic. Ranking second in Europe and ninth in the world in plastic surgeon procedures, Turkey is one of the popular countries for medical tourism. Medical tourism in Turkey, an increasing number of plastic surgery patients traveling worldwide for high quality and more affordable treatment from many clinics and doctors specializing in aesthetic medicine in Turkey. A facelift is the most preferred plastic surgery in Turkey. Rehabilitation after surgery takes place in the best clinics in the country. It can be stated that the most important reason why Turkey is preferred for Plastic Surgery is that the country has many well-educated, skilled, and experienced plastic surgeons and that these procedures are performed at a much more affordable cost. In addition, Turkey is a reliable country for Plastic Surgery, for example, in cosmetic surgery clinics, patients are examined before surgery and drug therapy is administered to prevent complications. Have few friends that did it in Mexico. They are very pleased with the results, the state of the art hospitals, and patient care.
https://www.evoclinic.mx/rhinoplasty...nose-job-cost/

Canada charges more, even compared to the US
https://www.facetoronto.com/nose/rhinoplasty/

According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the average cost of rhinoplasty treatments in 2020 was $5,483. However, the price range for rhinoplasty surgery can range from $3,000 to $15,000, depending on a number of different components. The extent of the procedure and the type of rhinoplasty being performed, for example, will greatly impact the total cost of your surgery.

also saw photos of daughters clinic room and its immaculate with all modern conveniences.. also saw inside the dentists and its more like a top class hairdressers its so nice.. she said again spotlessly clean and professional care... the refused treatment to a boy who was there as his jaw wasnt aligned properly and it has to be sorted but they said for him to come back in a couple of years once his jaw is sorted as it takes time... so they dont go in willy nilly to make money when its not needed or wont work... so he didnt have to pay..only his flight and hotel room had to be paid...

So if your doctor finds a reason why it is medically necessary you might qualify for a covered procedure.

The recovery was easy. Just expect two black eyes and swelling. I don't remember it being terribly painful and I'm sort of a wimp. So glad I did it!

I like the idea of a teaching hospital. Hopefully there's one near you.
Mine too! I was 26 though. I went to the consult for my septum and the doc said “while I’m in there I can trim it a little” and I was gung ho. It was awesome. I went from a 6 to an 8 in my humble opinion lol. I didn’t have any problems except I tried to get on the treadmill after a couple of weeks against instructions and my nose started bleeding almost immediately.

Unfortunately those insurance nose jobs with septum surgery are a thing of the past.

Did you not post that you are saving for a down payment on a house?

I read that and agree - unless it's something hideous - just deal with it, especially in older age.

Nowadays its quite fashionable to have a wee bump on your nose. even in Hollywood..Ive noticed some celebs with imperfect noses but they still look good.. I hate my own nose and have always wanted it fixed..
