We went to the grocery today- Friday is always our shopping day and happened to be out of both TP and PT. Bought both of them today.

How do your dogs handle hurricane weather? Does the barometric pressure bother them? The wind noises?

"New-To-Me" senior corgi rescue dog has taken to the move to Florida like a duck to water. He loves everything here.... except.... Oh my, your thunderstorms are quite loud! He has his new thunder shirt and he is allowed 1/2 Benadryl. He has acclimated to the point where his whole body no longs shakes. And only the really loud claps cause his eyes to bug out and to pant with extreme nervousness.

Are your dogs even worse during hurricane weather?

You could try Bach Rescue Remedy - I don't have faith in homeopathic remedies but some people insist this stuff works great for dogs. At the very worst, it'd be a total waste of $10. At the very best, it'll actually help keep your corgi calm through the storms. You just drop 4 drops of the stuff in his mouth. Ingredients: glycerin and water. SUPPOSEDLY it also has the "essence" of 5 different flowers in it too.

The BJ's at W Kendall is packed to the Rafters today...People leaving with 2 -3 carts full of stuff, not really for the 4th Celebrations, but to Welcome The Storm out there that is goinn to be just a Rain Pounding Even at the Most for Florida.

I will never understand people not being ALWAYS ready during the Hurricane/Storms Season, they Promote Panic and
Anxiety while driving, getting in n out of Stores and Stress to all the Population in General

Have a full tank of gas in your car. Make sure your electrical devices are fully charged and charge back up tech batteries.

Lots of other things too. But don't panic. The media will do what it does best - create hysteria and fear.
Adding to the hysteria for an Orlando resident? Coastal people go there to evacuate. So far the only thing you can do is watch. Enjoy the 4th weekend. Even if it comes over the state in Orlando next week no reason to panic.

I am praying it avoids your area completely because of the rescue crews working in Sunrise at the condo.

Does not bother them. They hang closer maybe; but also go under the bed when the shutters make the noises. Scares my husband more than the dogs. Lack of air conditioning is his worst problem. During Mathew we had him in a cool shower through the worst of the winds and had to make card board fans to fan him.
