Steaks on the grill, baked sweet/white potatoes, HUGE salad, french bread, corn on the cob......yum!!!! Oh, fresh Indiana melon from the farmers market.
making an asparagus quiche, and I am making chicken legs and thighs on the bone in the crock pot, for tommorow nights dinner Tonight we are going to a friends and having Grilled cheese burgers and chicken. Not sure what else since this friend hates salad and veggies LOL
Family gathering to welcome back all the niece, nephew, & all who have returned from their overseas college, travel & such...
At "Long Beach King" at around the old Kallang Stadium.
Menu includes:
Steamed prawns
Fried mini squids in fried bird nest (fried beehoon?)
Pepper crabs
Chilli crabs with deep fried buns for sopping up sauce
(my family are all big crabs eater)
Roasted chicken & duck
House greens (thai baby chinese brocolli)
Stuffed fried yu zha gui (some kind of chinese bread product with shrimp paste) to dip with mayo
E-mien (Hong Kong style noodles)
Dessert:
Chocolate cake sister brought in from "Awefully chocolate" at Katong area earlier.
Grilling out tonight. Thick cut ribeyes and corn on the cob along with baked potatoes, Caesar salads and garlic Texas toast. Sweet iced tea to drink and strawberry pie a la mode.

now that is a dinner: we are going much lighter...but yours sounds better. I will have homemade blue cheese dressing on the salad at least and fresh tomatoes, as if we need another tomato?
