Happy New Year to all the gourmets here. You've given me lots of great meal ideas throughout the year. Looking forward to more in 2014.

We are starting with having the kids over for a NY brunch: lox and bagels, liverwurst ball, cheese and crackers, mixed berries, deviled eggs and bloody Mary's or Vodka and grapefruit juice. Later on today, spoiled brat and I will have baked ham, baby limas and cold slow. I know, we are supposed to have black eyes peas and greens, but a girl raised in So Ca can only do so much!!!!

Here in PA we are supposed to have pork and sauerkraut...well, we are having baked ham and cole slaw too (it's pork and cabbage anyway) so that's close enough. I'm also baking DH a lemon sponge pie for dessert.

Corned beef, potatoes, carrots, celery & onions are simmering in a pot I'll add some cabbage right before eating. I don't like soggy cooked cabbage. ..

Middle of winter and the GF and I have the urge to throw some burgers on the grill. Instead of buns, we are gonna have them on fresh baked garlic bread with Muenster cheese, yummy!

Tonight are BBQ tri tip steaks, a super salad mix (from costco), and asparagus. If I can get more motivated then I'll make lemon bars for the boy.
