I don't feel badly about eating McDonald's, or any other fast food. Sometimes, it's a convenience that's worthwhile. Yeah, a DiGiorno's bake-at-home pizza is as cheap and tastier. Yeah, fast food is blah. But if I'm stuck without lunch and that's what's close, it'll do in a pinch. If I'm on the road, and one is close to the interstate and I'm on a time crunch, will I choose it over a mom n' pop I have to drive further to get to? Sure will. Will I rave about the wonderful quality and taste? Of course not. But it serves its purpose from time to time.
Maybe I'm in the minority (although that's doubtful, given their sales) but I don't think there's anything at all bad-tasting about a Sausage McMuffin with Egg. Nutritionally, sure, it's lame. But it tastes completely fine to me.
When we eat McDonalds, we all usually get McDoubles. Tried the new grilled onion burger and it tasted okay, but the cheese was an odd gray color and the patty was about two inches across.
There are many things better to eat than McDonalds, cheaper and healthier too. It has its uses though, when I am too ill or too tired to cook, when we're out running errands and it's mealtime, that kind of thing. My sister is very proud of not having been to McDonalds in five years. When she has kids, I bet she goes back.
The thing about McDonald's is that if you travel alot for work, there are lots of them, easy parking, Wi-Fi access, clean restrooms, fairly safe. I go there for those things, and usually get a drink, and apple snack.
About the only thing I'll ever eat at McD's is a Sausage McMuffin w/egg....and even that is a rarity.
Their food is complete garbage and a negative assault to anyone with taste buds. yuck
Well, if you're ever there and looking for a change of pace, the Egg McMuffin is quite good, too -- but then you couldn't come on here and brag about how you only eat one thing from there.
I'm not big into Mickey D's, but I do enjoy a Egga Muffin on occasion. If I'm eating lunch or dinner, I'll usually get the grilled chicken club, or a Quarter Pounder with cheese if I need a beef (well, sort of) fix. Most of the time I wind up tossing about half of the bun, too.
The three things McDonald's does right are: french fries (I love 'em when they're hot and crunchy), milkshakes, and coffee.
