I think tenders may be too dry for cacciatore and like Lacey said they may break up. I don't think their texture is right. I'm still thinking...

Hey, that sounds really good! I have my pasta sauce in the freezer as well and lots of parm cheese, Italian bread crumbs and some mozzarella cheese, too. All I'm gonna need is some nice crusty bread.

I am having a "drop zone day".... where you run around like a chicken with your head chopped off and your kitchen counter ends up looking like a drop zone because you only have enough time to just DROP what ya got on the counter and run back out the door.... Dinner will most likely be a suprise tonight... Even to ME! LOL... no time to even think about it.... Back out the door to pick up my Pre Schooler... Have a good day all!!!!! No time to chat... Gotta Run.... Kinda feel like the bunny in Alice in Wonderland.... I'm Late I'm Late I'm Late!!!! LOL

Just fixed DP a hearty lunch because he's going out this evening to play tennis 8-10pm....therefore will only eat a light supper...like a yogurt and banana.....so I just fixed him a salmon fillet, fresh rice and pickle and onion.....he's a happy man.

I will probably have a hamburger for supper and when he comes home if he wants one....I will be watching the debate.

Hope you are all having a good day!

Last night's baby visit went well; I took all your various catering advice and sent DH to buy snacks. I just cooked potato wedges scattered with chopped up bacon to go brown & crisp, served with salsa and sour cream, plus lots of bowls of asstd. chips!

And I baked a pineapple upside down cake, served warm with heavy cream poured over - that went down well! I just laid it all out on the sideboard and let them serve themselves...very relaxing! The company was great, and baba was so good, cute and sleepy

Tonight is shrimp in spicy toamto sauce over pasta or noodles.... some decisions to make yet!

I haven't made pineapple upside-down cake in so long. It sounds really delicious with heavy cream. (Doesn't everything taste better with butter, bacon and heavy cream?) Good hear everything wet well and your evening was somewhat relaxed.

Oh I second that. My husband would disagree with the bacon part but he is an odd duck.

The cake was delish even if I say so myself! I tripled the amount of crushed pineapple (as the new mom loves it) and used the unsweetened version as there was a good bit of brown sugar in the topping, which caramelised beautifully into a toffee goo - so good with the cream!
