I cooked the rest of the ribs this morning in a sweet and sour sauce to have on Monday, so that night it will be just heat and eat, except for the addition of rice and a veggie.
I heart ribs!

I'm thinking brocooli and cheese soup. If I can find a recipe that I have the ingredients for and doesn't take all day. I might even throw some pork chops cut up into it.

Afternoon all! A little tired here after a biking tour of the city farmers' markets this morning, and couldn't buy much as I just had a small backpack but managed quite a few tasters!

Now thinking about dinner but no ideas yet, maybe a nap first...

Afternoon all!

southdown I just told my kids a nap sure sounded good right now.

case44 such suspense!

kelsie what kind of fridge did you get?

Lacey I am not an old tymer yet but was raised on a farm. We call the mid day meal lunch but night time is supper!

Nomad about your plate.................... sorry but I was laughing so hard while reading it then telling my kids. My nephew once put a Hot Wheel car in my mother's not pretty and it ruined the oven. That was back in the 80's when they were big, bulky and had dials on them.

Veggie soup going on here tonight. Putting up the Christmas tree the cat climbed up it then jumped out of the top. He snapped the top piece in half. This has been a problem with him his whole life but we were in the other room testing lights when he did it this time. Anybody need a seal tip 4 yo fixed and declawed cat? We just bought his stocking stuffers last night I told him Santa would be taking them back.

crazy and cyn.. this is the recipe I'm going to try. It seems to have all the ingredients of the one I tasted.

Cranberry Salsa Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 an apple, peeled and cored
Chopped serrano or jalapeno chili to taste (about a half a chili, but taste for desired heat)
4 Tbsp sugar
Zest of one orange
2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
Dash of lime or lemon juice
Dash of salt
Method
1 Either grind cranberries and apple together in a grinder, or pulse in a food processor until coarsely shredded, around 10 short pulses.

2 Combine shredded cranberries, orange zest, chile, and sugar in a medium bowl. Let sit 15 minutes for the cranberries to macerate (soften in the sugar). Add cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.

Makes a little less than 2 cups.

That sounds so refreshing.

My slab of beef smells pretty good-mushrooms, cream of onion soup, Lipton's On/Mush Soup. Great smell for a bitterly cold day.
