Gosh, I'm getting hungry!

I'm leaving for 2 weeks on Friday, so I'm trying to use up some of the stuff we have around the house, because I know it'll be a gelatinous mess when I get home, as I know DH won't use it. Anyway, I had some hamburg in the freezer and some potatoes, so I made a shepherd's pie a little bit ago and I'll just throw it in the oven when we get hungry.

Nice to see some familiar faces in a new forum......

NMS... don't most people eat it when they get hungry? Why do you want to throw it in the oven at that point? What are you going to eat????

I'm beginning to worry about you ya know.

We're having Cornish game hens. I need to look up a recipe, as I haven't made these in 15 years.

The topping sounds interesting but could you explain quark?

Other than in a brain numbing physics lecture I don't believe I've heard the term, at least not as applied to baking.

Whole dinner idea I had earlier blown out of the water. Had the grill ready to go, the ff in the oven to go with the steaks ( decided ff would be easier and faster then the baked potatoe I earlier spoke of ) but the rain decided to start just before the steaks were to be put on...oh my! So I quickly made up some hot dogs and some homemade relish to go with the already cooking ff. It turned out fine and a plus is we are finally getting that much needed rain! Now to do the clean up! Happy evening everyone!!
