I've got my prescription for the Warfarin and I only have to get 2 more belly shots if my numbers look good on Monday afternoon. The doctor said I've got a really good chance of recovering completely since I'm yuoung and in fairly good health. I should only have to take the blood thinners for about 3 months. He did say that once the leg brace comes off that I should be fitted for a compression stocking and I should wear that for 6 months to ensure a full recovery.

We had company over and grilled out...
BBQ Chicken Breasts, Rubbed Steak, potato salad (with bacon, spinach and egg), watermelon, corn, baked beans, salad w/ peppercorn dressing, roasted veg (eggplant, zuchini, port. mushrooms, garlic, evoo, white balsamic, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and mediterranian herb feta cheese)... then finished it all off with a helping of peanut butter pie

Tonight we're going to LOLA, Michael Symon's restaurant. He's the newest Iron Chef. I'm hoping for something different and good.

I'm renewing my request with the Mrs. about those fried potato "peasand food " sandwiches. I've never had a cheesy fried potato sandwich and I'm going to see how that comes off. Sort of a potatoes augrautin sandwich. Of course it will have a layer of jalapenos on it. With some fresh tomato wedges and a glass of straightup tea it will be an old time treat.

Tonight will be baked chicken thighs. I still have a couple of frozen packages so I need to use them up. I'll make mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and corn. Our neighbor is bringing us some more nice fresh caught Catfish so that will probably be for dinner tomorrow night (or maybe I'll switch nights). What nice neighbors we have here! He took us over to see the Catfish he caught and oh my goodness they were huge! I've only seen them like that in pictures. But he said he'd give us the meat from the smaller ones as they taste better??!! That's fine by me. He had at least 5-6 Catfish in a big tub of water.

We have to get up at 2 a.m. to get me to the airport tomorrow morning, so it'll be simple and light. I think we're stopping by Subway.

Last night it was Subway and Dunkin Donut! We had a furious storm that took out all the power for miles around....had to keep driving till we found a place that was open. I felt badly for the policemen directing traffic in the rain at the failed street lights. It was really severe.....a micro-burst...very like a tornado!

For tonight, I have two nice steaks marinating in Goya's bitter orange, garlic, onion, lemon marinade...MOJO. Its cheap and very good.
