Cyn-why not just try marinating in the ranch dressing, breading and either oven bake or fry? Might find a new interesting recipe.

I think I am going to make a shrimp stir fry tonight. I really wanted to make gumbo but alas I am out of stewed tomatos.

Cyn..how about taking that chicken you have ..marinate it in milk (yes milk) some basil, garlic powder, little cajun spice if you have it, some black pepper and seasoned salt.

Before you cook it, take it out of the milk, roll in bread crumbs and bake just like you would bake any chicken. It is really good!
If you do that now, you should be good for dinner.

Cynd-Oops-just saw your post on stuffed cabbage. Here's what I do-cook rice-use only 1/2 recipe (1/2 c rice to 1 c water). Mix chop meat with chopped onion, worstershire sauce, salt/pepper, little garlic powder then add rice an mix well.

I cut core out of cabbage and par boil to make removing leaves easier. Remove leaves, let cool a little. Put filling in leaf and I envelope fold and toothpick. I put a layer of cabbage on bottom of dutch oven, add cabbage rolls, top with more cabbage (just chunked is fine).

Mix 1 large can tomato sauce with a good shot of worstershire, brown sugar and a shot of lemon juice. Pour over. Cover. At this point you can cook stovetop or in oven at 250.

If you want right before serving put rolls on heated platter and mix sour cream into sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes-yum.

Making the chicken tonite - just don't know what I'll do with it. LOL. I have cutlets. I was going to make fettucine alfredo with it, but hubby doesn't want that. So I have to figure something else out.

Easy one for you. Do you have italian dressing? If so place chicken in pan pour about half the bottle of italian dressing over it. Bake at 350. Turn once during cooking. Since you have cutlets I would start checking them around 30 minutes or so.

You were all set to go with the Alfredo, so whatever happens....your DH bears some of the responsibility. I bet your supper will be delicious. Chicken marinated in almost any kind of dressing and then baked, especially crumbed and baked....how could it be anything less than good?
