I have an afternoon appointment about 1 hour away from home (sans traffic) and should be finishing up around the same time DH gets off work. The last thing I am going to want to do is come home, head straight to the kitchen and cook, so we are going to meet somewhere at a restaurant for dinner.

Now the big decision is which restaurant? Seems there is always a decision to make regarding dinner.

VP - those tenderloins also make a wonderful, quick roast. Just season them (unless they're the marinated kind - even better!) w/salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders or some Emeril-type seasoning or Lowry's seasoned salt, whatever your family likes, throw them in a 350 oven for about 45 minutes (it's been a while since I've done this, so you should test it w/a thermometer) and voila! A lovely, quick roast - you can even do it during the week. It also grills really, really well. If I remember correctly, it takes about an hour on the grill - you may want to use indirect grilling.

Elston, just let us know which day is the lobster and we'll be there with bibs on!

I forgot to mention dinner tonight! Looks like it's dunch/linner at a local Brazilian grill for dh's b'day today. Oh, and the b'day apple pie is in the oven, smelling like a little piece of heaven. C'mon over later for pie and ice cream!

Leftover pork tenderloin. Hot pork sandwich w/gravy and mashed for hubby. Sliced with spinach salad and leftover garlic string beans for me.

Why don't you drop by after dinner? We should have digested enough of our dunch/linner to be able to have some then.

This is where a crock pot would come into play--just plug it in outside. Thanks so much for the recipe-I will try it soon.

Ok, after days of sandwiches, I am going to attempt "real" cooking tonight.

Should be baked chicken thighs, brussells sprouts, and a starch, if I don't flake out and remain in "I refuse to cook-ville."

Wish me luck!
