Ive seen it so many times.. people in very posh big cars shopping at the cheapest shops like Lidl and Aldi. only to take out the groceries and wine in the shops own bags and swap them in the boot of the car for Marks and Spencers or some other higher brand of shop... A friend of the family even saw Robbie Coltrane do this at the Lidls carpark.. Theres no shame in having to shop at a cheaper shop but why bother to go to all this bother for the neighbours..
ive never seen this, i guess i live in a poor area...(arrogance is despised)
most of the people who have deep pockets that i know,,,are very frugal, and they will shop discount places, and not only wont they hide it, they will share to other family members if they come across some good bargains/deals

Store bags in this day and age? Why aren't they using their own reusable bags? No shame in using a bag with a logo of the SPCA, the World Wildlife Fund, or the Childrens Literacy Foundation, for example. The posh can show off that they give to causes.

wondeful idea and aye they should have their own bags... I take one big bag with me but I know it wont be enough and do have to have more of the shops bags. I had a boss at work in the 80s , who had come from humble beginnings but had made her way up the ladder... she invited four of the workforce to her house for a few drinks and when we were leaving her luxury apartment in Bearsden. I asked for a carrier bag.... she said.. OH hold on Ill get you one of my Harrods ones. and proceeded to go under the sink where she had loads of Harrods poly bags... now why? we dont have a Harrods in Glasgow far less Scotland so where did she intend on using these bags...

Aldi doesn't give free shopping bags. So one needs to bring their own bags unless they want to pay extra. So one's own bags can be from another store which one packs themselves at Aldi. Why would one then swap bags when one chooses the bags to begin with it?

Aldi's here provides free boxes but not bags. The boxes are difficult to carry, so I can see transferring groceries to bags. Personally, I hate those reusable bags, so I just pay for the plastic ones at Aldi. I really don't care what people think about where I shop. Sometimes I shop at Whole paycheck, sometimes Aldi. Makes no difference to me.

I have reusable bags from The Nation's Gun Show and from the National Rifle Association that I am proud to show off. No shame at all.
