worn out shopping (how did we manage to leave behind an Xlarge Costco take and bake pizza?!
I wish christmas wasn't so commercial,
still the kids/ their parents... really appreciate it (my partner and I don't have kids but we give to the ones in our circle..)

Found another frozen pizza- sausage supreme and spruced up with extra salami and diced pineapple and extra shredded cheese and I know this may sound weird but I put a drizzle of hot BBQ sauce on top-

love that sweet spicey kick....
and of course, a couple of IPAs

helps with the Xmas wrapping...

Although I usually make beans from scratch, canned beans served their purpose for a relatively quick dinner:

Black and kidney bean chili with homemade buttermilk cornbread.

Soup night..have not decided yet either a red kidney bean soup with rice or a green lentil soup with diced potatoes served with chapatis, homemade yogurt and lassi. For dessert a clementine, grapefruit, orange, coconut and vanilla sugar fruit salad with a shot of Dornkaat Schnapps optional.

today is a Christmas lunch with hubby. One of the men's groups he belongs to invite the wives once a year to join the men for lunch. It will probably be a big lunch, thus dinner is just going to be chicken sandwiches and maybe fresh fruit or something like that.
