After last night's holiday party dinner (lobster & fettucine, duck breast w/ butter cabbage & chestnut puree, PB baked Alaska), it's definitely going to be a slim meal. I'll pick up some fish or shrimp and do a stir fry with plenty of green veg, skip the rice.
With the temp at minus 4 and 5 inches of new snow, I think dinner will consist of whatever we can scrounge up in the house. Maybe leftover moussaka from last night's dinner out and butter chicken.
We received quite a bit of snow so possibilities are endless tonight..snow fudge, snow with maple syrup, snow pie,rum balls with snowflakes
Thinking just to make sandwiches and have a beer or 2 while watching NHL Ice Hockey tonight. Maybe some Stollen with a glass of Glühwein/mulled wine would be great.
Wife went Christmas shopping all day and she's exhausted. I need to cook a nice dinner for her. I'm grilling tri tip steaks and Maui onions. We'll have this with steamed rice and sauteed broccoli. Pistachio nut ice cream for the wife after dinner.
Tonight we had finger foods: little smoky rolls, sausage balls, celery, carrots, radishes and ranch dip, bbq meatballs, ham biscuits, shrimp & sauce, coconut balls dipped in chocolate, carrot cake, and pecan tarts.
Our neighbors came over. We ate and played cards and dominoes.
