Tomorrow will be better, this I swear! If heads have to roll, so be it! Better, I say!!! BETTER!!!
FRIDAY: I'm making a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo, serving with warm French bread. It's supposed to be a cold, rainy weekend for #Bedlam #BoomerSooner
I was jonesing for Mexican, but I had the most fabulous cheese enchiladas at Chilis for lunch yesterday.
Friday night will probably be something from the freezer, unless DH has a request. Could be spaghetti and meatballs or carbonara.
I took out of the freezer a kidney bean soup. With it homemade cumin and garlic naan and lassi to drink. For dessert guess what 1/2 a pink grapefruit again
Trying a new recipe for Stuffed French Bread. Ground beef, onion, garlic, spices, COM soup, and cheese stuffed into a hollowed out loaf of french bread and baked.
My father-in-law is spending the weekend with us, so I wanted to make dinner heartwarming but a little special:
oysters on the half shell with lemon and spicy cocktail sauce
Cornish hen stew with lemongrass and chiles (northern-Thai style) served over rice;
toasted brown bread rounds with rosemary butter
banana cream pie for dessert and 2 (or more) bottles of Veuve
We are having chickin fried chicken, boiled baby potatoes and cold slaw with fresh pineapple and pomegranates.
