I am grilling a parsley and cheese sausage ring, baking potatoes on the grill as well as 3 big Vidalia onions also on the grill, I grill the onions whole, add some butter and paprika, wrap in foil and basically bake them. They come out similar to those onions you put on hot dogs that are in the jar. I am also sautéing some sliced crimini mushrooms as well.
My husband wanted a Southern dinner and today (okay, most of the time), he gets whatever he wants. We are having spicy fried chicken, bacon mac and cheese, collards with smoked turkey necks, mashed potatoes (with chicken liver gravy), buttermilk biscuits and an iced gingerbread loaf for dessert.
He is going to have to hit the gym all this week after this dinner. Since I taste while I'm cooking, I really won't want a lot of it at dinner, but I'd better make sure I get in some serious jogging this week as well.
Grilling chicken thighs and tomatoes cut in half with OO and parmesan. Cooking up some corn on the cob. I am going to make rice. I know I just complained earlier this week about rice but when you mix the grilled tomatoes into it, heaven!
I used pillsbury buttermilk bisquits, rolled them out and steamed them..... perfect chinese buns!! When great with the pork belly.
