Eating a little lighter today after a week with our son at home and Father's Day festivities.
I picked up some spaghetti squash - it's in the oven now. I'm tossing it with angel hair pasta, lots of diced, fresh tomatoes, fresh chopped basil, minced garlic, a little olive oil, and some freshly grated Romano. I might as well toss in some broccolocini, as well.
Unsweetened iced tea. DH will have a slice of the apple pie from yesterday, I am sure. I'll pass.
Tonight buckwheat noodles with tan tan broth, and veggies (daikon, spinach, and whatever I scrounge from the fridge).
And an artichoke.

Probably chicken thighs (happily sitting in butter milk and hot sauce right now), rice a roni (nibbling on the 40 pound sack of basmati one spoon at a time), the very last garden salad with apples, Vidalia onion and a mustard vinaigrette.
Serious cravings for a margarita here, fresh lime juice, ice and a decent shot of good stuff please! It must be the summer heat.
I like these happily marinating chicken thighs.
I made us each a fried egg on toast ("protein") ahead of the main event of spaghetti with sautéed mushrooms added to some of the fresh tomato sauce I made Sunday.
Jerk chicken leftovers, fried fish, Jamaican rice and peas, and mac salad.
