Another chicken night (poor planning on my part as it was supposed to be something else but I ran short on time).

I've been marinating chicken breasts in Italian salad dressing for the grill for tomorrow night but I oven baked a couple of them. To that I added a fresh green salad with freshly torn romaine (for me) and iceberg (for hubby), red pepper, cucumbers, tomatoes, green onions, celery and shredded cheese, leftover cole slaw and rolls.

Rooting around in the freezer again. I found a bag of "pizza cheese", pepperoni and a container of homemade pizza sauce. I'll have to buy either crust or naan bread as I am horrible at making it. I'll pick up some mushrooms too. So semi homemade pizza it is.

today is our monthly jaunt to Sam's with a stop at Aldi's. That means surprise for dinner. It depends mostly on what we pick up. I am guessing dinner will be centered on fish, probably Salmon. After that no clue. I know it will be something easy and quick. We won't get home til mid afternoon and I have a 4pm meeting plus daughter is coming over to show me how to use my new Iphone; it isn't really new, it is her old one.

Hurray - our New Orleans food order arrived! For dinner we're grilling crawfish, giant-heads-on Gulf shrimp, Boudin and corn. I'll make a pitcher of Hurricanes (a small one since it is only Thursday), and I have a loaf of homemade French bread in the freezer. That's all we need for a terrific meal.

I also ordered alligator, various sauces, Cafe du Monde coffee and Aunt Sally's Pralines. Life is good!!!

So, last week I thought I was having company, but I got the week wrong. She is coming tonight, late. Anyway, I'm just making Mac and cheese with smoked sausage, so it is easily cleaned up long before she arrives.
If you are like me, guests don't see us as we really live....just the Martha Stewart version. Haha.
