I saw a one pan recipe online for boneless chicken thighs (paprika, lemon, garlic, cream, Parmesan, thyme) with spinach. I think I'll try it. Maybe a bit of rice on the side.
Bread pudding from yesterday with Bourbon custard sauce.

With all the raining and flooding today, I felt like comfort eating. We are having red beans and rice from the crockpot with cornbread.

What a great evening for a steak!

Chuck delmonicos / chuck eye steaks
( these connect to the rib eye for almost half the rib eye price)

There are only 4-6 steaks that come off the whole critter
That are chuck eyes

Diet Coke

Fruit smoothie

I knew about Delmonico and Spencer steaks being pretty much the same as ribeye, but I didn't realize chuck eyes were too. Will have to try those. I thought they were some cheaper cut of meat like the charcoal steaks or something.

Charcoal and spencer. Named steaks. Are. Regional
Not their official name

From all the butcher Facebook forums I'm on

I believe they are top blade steaks ( same muscle the flat iron comes from )

The husband is making homemade Italian subs tonight. I will have mine with pickles, hots, lettuce, onions and mayo.

I made an Alabama style white bbq sauce to serve with it. They have a choice of potato buns, sliced red onion and corn on the cob for sides. I think I will drink Red Stripe with dinner.
I am drooling right now...

(I'd give ya some love but it says I gotta keep spreading it around)

Falafel, lettuce, tomato and red onion in a pita with tahini dressing. Tabbouleh salad and babaganoush (egg plant salad), pickles and a cold beer.
