I bought Halloween candy this year (but sorry H'ween loving folks, I don't actually enjoy getting off the couch every 30 seconds to talk to strangers) before I remembered that Halloween was a Tuesday night this year (school night for me).
So I guess DH and I will have to find a way to eat that chocolate ourselves. Maybe I'll have the energy to make some eggs and toast too, if we're lucky.

off topic, but here, partially because of the way our city is set up and our neighborhoods, most of the kids enjoy trunk or treat and do not go door to dook like our kids do. The churches will have, along with the candy treats, things like pony rides, haunted houses, trampolines, etc. That is much more fun for the kids and easier on those of us who want to relax.
Pork chops, risotto (maybe with mushrooms), the ever present green salad, vanilla pudding with berries and honey
