Actually looks like a beautiful day here. The rain is gone for a few days at least!
I changed my mind "again" last night for dinner, that's either a blonde thing or a woman thing or both!! I made tuna noodle casserole. Just was hungry for it! Tonight will be the chicken.

I only put shredded cheese on the top. I use to make homemade noodles to use in it but now I use the packaged noodles.

Tuna Noodle:

OK.....its been years....so help with your recipe (not the homemade noodles....too ambitious for me)....do you put olives in it? peas? use a mushroom soup base or make a white sauce....Onions? I need to know.

I've used this recipe for 40 years now. I can't say it's the best for everyone but it's pretty simple and good.

Preheat oven to 350
Mix a can of cream of mush soup with 2/3 can of evaporated milk.
Add and mix 2 1/2 cups cooked noodles
2 cans of tuna fish
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
Couple drops of tabasco sauce
Grated cheese to cover the top
Grease casserole dish
Cook for 1/2 hour
You can add anything you'd like with this. Sometimes I add olives and other times I add peas or corn. Just depends on what sounds good to me!

I know I will be giving this a try! Thanks for the recipe......I wonder if that is pretty much what everyone does? It sounds delicious.....I thought I remembered olives and at someone's house or a pot luck....chips on top. I like the sound of the cheese.

Good morning all. I have been MIA for awhile. I have been eating mostly from my garden lately. Oven fried zucchini and squash, steamed squash and zucchini with beans, rice, and salsa, stuffed zucchini boats, zucchini bread, and zucchini fritters. Can you tell I am in zucchini overload and I am trying my best not to waste this wonderful free food? But I am going to turn into a zucchini.

I am going to try zucchini and apple fritters tonight. While I am on the zucchini kick DH is still eating normal, for him, lol. He is having a marinated grilled steak tonight.

Have a great week.

I will be picking yellow summer squash today......after a long wet, cold spring and July.....the plants are starting to grow and to bear.....I didnt think it would happen.....and the eggplants have blossoms! The basil is lush and beautiful, the rosemary would like to dry out .....but is looking thrifty....and i am using onions from the garden plot and little sun gold cluster tomatoes are getting ready! Strange little computer burble last night, every time I tried to access this thread I'd get a message saying my 'token' was expired, even tho I could access other CD threads

Last night was leftovers, a coupla short ribs that were even better after reasting a few days in the fridge, very tasty with horseradish sauce and the leftover Kinda Carbonara wasn't bad either. Homemade blueberry sorbet for dessert topped off a nice weekend.

I'm guessing Nathan's doggies tonight.
