Hey Guys....where did this beautiful new kitchen come from?? Thanks for the invite Lacey.
I haven't read all the past posts because I am just toooooo tired. Yard work all morning by myself. 1 acre of yard is too much for this woman by herself. My DD had a laser treatment for acne and can't be in the sun. I had to quit by 12:30. Louisiana is to hot to work in the afternoon. I'll finish tomorrow.
I sure smells good in here. I'm think of some big juicy burgers on the grill. Yard work does make you hungry!!
Sippin on a cold one as we speak. Got to run out in a few to get the fixins for dinner. I think I might do some corn on the grill also. In the husk of course.
After my swim lesson I was starvin marvin. Made some rice and beans and had some pineapple chunks with it. That's probably what I'll have later tonight, too...and maybe tomorrow if there's some left
Seeing as George is always forgetting somebody, I found this bus that will accomodate us all...
Yes, I have been left in my garage sweating and watching my forzen desserts melt GEORGE! (You know I luvs ya!)

Nomad - wow! Sounds good to me!
WELL, I was going to defrost a roast, but DH defrosted several filets and we are going to throw them on the grill - in the rain! Oh well, we will figure it out!
BTW, has anyone ever had a chicken salad that was made with that deviled chicken in a can? I went to a potluck once, and tasted some chicken salad that simply had to be made with that. Anyone know the recipe or even heard of it?
Hey, Jessie, I have never been able to do corn with the husk on the grill, can you share your secreat please?
It's really easy Kelsie. First peel back the husk and remove the silk but leave the husk. Put husk back up around corn. Soak ears in water for 30 minutes. At this point you can put them on the grill as is OR you can make a herb butter and put that on the ear of corn under the husk and then grill. Both ways are good. Cook turning frequently for 30 to 40 minutes.
Okay here's some useless info-an ear of corn had the same number of silks as kernels. Mr. L's a font of useless info and I guess I caught it.
