It's Sunday morning here in Perth and I haven't figured out what to make for dinner tonight yet. Looking for ideas, so I came here.

Last night I put together a turkey chili, but tried to emulate what I had when I was in the Southwest of the US a couple of months ago - a green chili. It turned out pretty good given I really didn't have a recipe. I used a big can of tomatillos in there, with a small can of diced tomatoes, and everything else was pretty much the same as regular chili (beans, meat, onions, spicing, etc.). We had crusty bread with it. It hit the spot.

Greek salad, jalapeno poppers with ranch dressing, and hot wings with bleu cheese. Iced tea to wash it down.

Italian Tomato Sauce with Pasta - Recipie - Start with a a sauce pot. Cover the bottom of the pot with olive oil ( about 4 tablespoons ). Cut up about 6 cloves of garlic and slight brown in the garlic. Add a nice size piece of beef (chuck), a nice piece of pork, and a nice piece of veal. Brown the meat and add some salt and a little pepper. Add 4 large cans of peeled tomatos and some fresh basil. You can pass the peeled tomatos through a blender just a bit. Use an Italian imported brand of canned tomatos like Tuttorosso or if you cant than use Hunts. Add a little red wine to the sauce. Simmer the sauce on medium flam and stir frequently for about 2 hours. Cook some pasta, using Barilla and make sure you dont over cook the pasta, Drain the pasta and add some sauce. Put the meat in a big bowl and eat with the pasta. Add only fresh grated romano or locatelli cheese.
