Baked penne pasta. Used whole wheat pasta, never tried it before. It was very good.

Along with tossed salad.

We had dinner last night at the FWDLA's (friends who don't like anything) house. She made my chicken dish and totally managed to botch it...over cooked and dry. So she kindly sent us home with two chicken breasts which I'm warming up in a cream of celery soup and chicken broth sauce (which should moisten it a bit) with mashed potates and candied sweet potatoes.
How a 62 year old women doesn't know that 1 1/2 hours is too long to cook chicken breasts is beyond me.

I made homemade chicken strips (with chicken breast strips, panko, and some spices)- we dipped it in a light ranch dressing (SO good), some baked fries, and veggies.

God, this gave me a laugh! I have a friend who is younger than that and says that she cannot cook. If you get hungry enough you can -- at least that's what my mother told me. This friend claims that they used to eat out all of the time. Here's another saying, "can't never could".

P. S. I have known this individual a long time and they will not come eat at my home because I "intimidate her". I think that is so funny.
