I don't understand why so many people on this forum post negitive comments about Cape Coral. Cape Coral is a very nice town. For one thing, Cape Coral is the third safest city in the state. Can't beat that! So, tell me why people post some many negative comments about Cape Coral on this forum--- AND HALF OF THEM DON'T EVEN LIVE IN CAPE CORAL!!

Now, I don't live in Cape Coral now, but 2 years ago I was there. I can tell you from personal experience that the Cape is a nice town. Yes, I still visit. 2 of my aunts still live there, and they are in paradise.

If your looking into Cape Coral, DO IT!! The town is great, and don't let these people tell you the towns bad, because if you google Cape Coral, you'll find the facts.. the town is safe.

I only have one complaint about Cape Coral. The drivers, in fact that goes for most of Florida. Plus a hill or two would be nice. But other than that it's not a bad place. And you can't beat the weather, any time of the year.

It was a nice place but its changed. Killers in 18 of the 51 homicides in Lee County in 2007 are still on the loose. I have been here all my life and also due to the job I do I see it first hand. home invasion is now the norm. Cape Coral has changed alot in the last two years as far as crime.
Negative comments would be bad if the facts were not true. Increased unemployment rate will just mean more crime. Don't you think people should be informed?

With a population increase there is a chance for more crime. Most crimes are not random. The people know each other. In all the years I have lived in Southwest Florida I have never been a victim of crime. But then I do not hang out with riff-raff. Have been around them but don't associate with them. I would walk through any neighborhood in Cape Coral anytime of day without fear.

I just got a red mark that stated--Stop Bashing A Town You Know Nothing About- Cape Coral. I think I know way to much about Cape Coral I have been here all my life, 45 years. I state the facts about the area. If its wrong prove me wrong with facts. Don't bash me for the truth cause you don't like what I have to say.

I have lived here for 15 years and have never had a problem. Yes we are getting more crime but it is still a safe city, and the population has more than doubled since I have been here. Everyone on my street has lived here for 8 years or more except for 2 houses that are rentals. If you do read on the murders, they know their attacker it isn't random. Yes, I have heard about the grow house busts, but I would rather have a few grow houses then meth labs any day.

Default the cape

Hi, I used to live in Cape Coral, but moved to Baton Rouge, La. I love it here, but my relatives still live in the Cape and have started to hate it. They do not feel as safe as they used to and they say latin Gangs are becoming more prevalent. I would never move back to Cape Coral, but it really was not too terrible to live there, we moved because I and my husband believe it will only get worse there and there is not much for children to do and we have a 5 year old.
